This is the second in the "Warriors of the Lost Planet" series, which I believe can be enjoyed as a stand alone. The story is about Merrit, a human, and Xavier, an alien Cavian male. Merrit, a pirate, whose ship and crew have just been attacked. She is taken hostage by an unknown source where she is a lab rat. Xavier, who is also being held in the same facility, sees her and admires her fight. He tries to make her safe but when they are forced to become an experiment together he knows they must escape. He is a fierce Cavian warrior and big ole teddy bear when it comes to her. He thinks all of his people have died. When he and Merrit land on a mysterious planet he is shocked to see more of his kind. I enjoyed this story! I loved the interactions between Merrit and Xavier. It was also nice to see Daphne and Garath again! I thought the narrator did a good job as well.

Great read

I really enjoyed this story from beginning to end. I thought it was well written and I really liked the characters and enjoyed the narrator on the audio book. This is book 2 in the series.

The story and characters were well written and developed. I enjoyed the chemistry and journey. Great read.

Experiment

A new enemy looking to experiment on the intelligent species of the universe brings a power couple together. New friends are made and old enemies fought. Recommend reading the series in order.

Goid audiobook

Xavier is a Kavian that was captured and experimented on. Merit is human that gets captured on put togther with Xavier. They fight for their lives, escape and crash land on a planet with other Kavians. Now they must come to terms with their bonds as fsted mates. Really good audiobook full of action, adventure, danger, drama, fated mates, and HEA. The narrator does a really good job bring the characters to lifevthrough her narration.

Fun

Fun and spicy. Its a lot to listen too. There were so many cool aspects to this story and sweet moments and moments that made me want to rip my hair out. Xavier sounds like a lot to handle, like in a good way. Merrit is too. She’s headstrong and brave. I listened to the audio so it was a tad hard to keep up, but i liked it.

Loved It

I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I actually liked this book even more than the first one. I loved both Xavier and Merrit. The story was interesting from the start as Merrit was trying to get the other males in charge of their pirate ship to see her reasoning about needing to salvage parts. I loved how she stepped up with reason and intelligence- before danger struck. Even after captured, she was a fighter and always trying to find a way out. I liked even early on, Xavier tried to advise and help her, unlike the other males who only saw an attractive female in their lab/prison. Despite the possibility of his whole species being dead, all his fighting and planning without success, and no way out unless rescued, he didn't break or give up hope.

I liked the way their relationship developed. They bonded quickly to survive and attempt to escape the horrible prison/lab and the experiments forced on them. Merrit is a smart and brave heroine. She never gives up and isn't afraid of a fight. She is inventive and quick thinking, and definitely holds her own. Xavier is strong and smart. He knows how to survive, bides his time, and knows how to fight and defend. I was cheering for these two from the beginning. An exciting fast paced book with action, suspense, and romance. I loved it and recommend it.

Azalea Blau did a great job with her narration and bringing these characters to life. I loved her different voices for the different characters- even the males. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Battle for Love

Merritt’s ship has been attacked and she’s been abducted and dumped into an alien laboratory. There she meets Xavier, who has been trapped in the lab for ages, basically given up hope. Whether they survive to escape depends on whether they can work together. I loved this story - Azalea Blau does a fantastic job of giving everyone a unique voice and telling this story with excellent pacing and drama. Merritt and Xavier were two characters I could really route for, and I loved their happily ever after. A fantastic listen.

This book was so good. The narrator brought the story to life. The writing was so good.

Escape

This is a really interesting story that starts with the abduction of a human female and thrown into a cell for experiments. She has to work with her fellow cell mate to escape.
