Good start

This is a good set up for the series....they are not stand alone since this ends in a cliffhanger. It's an interesting take on the shifter world. Narration is done well overall mostly likable characters. Except Julien's mom WTH I don't know how you forgive and excuse that.

Goof start to a new series

I enjoyed the story line, characters, and narration. Noticed the third book in this series hasn't available in Audible format. Hopefully that will come soon. On to book two!

Amazing!

I love this book. Shifters, fated mates, impending war. Humans were supposed to be extinct, killed off years ago but some survived and now they are bringing war to the shifters. The Alpha leaders must find a way to stop the war and save their people.
Supreme Alpha Select Casius finds his fated mate with omega Julian. I love them together. They really are good for each other.
This story continues into the next book.
Narrator Lance Adams does an amazing job and I hope he narrators the rest of this series.

Story comment: Good setup for what looks to be an interesting series. Has good pace, engaging / well developed characters and some good world building. I will definitely look for the next instalment when it's available.

Narrator comment: Lance Adams has done a good job narrating His Forever Mate. The characters have their own voices, his rhythm is good and the intonations and inflections all work to bring the story to life.
If I was being super critical, I would have liked a stronger difference in the sound of the main characters voices, it felt like the personalities of each character are what gave them a different voice more so than the individual sound.

this story series is exactly what I needed! please continue with more! Also keep the same narrator, he makes the story come alive!

Good

It’s a very interesting story, and one of the few I’ve encountered until now that involves humans as the extinct race. Can’t wait to start in on the next one to see how the whole situation evolves.
While the narrator did a great job with this audiobook, I personally did not particularly like his voice. But it is a good audiobook, so absolutely worth a listen.

first of series

Julian's mom breaks my heart, and his dad waffled too!!! Seeing red!!! Julian had a right to know why his mom despised him! SMH! Gutwrenching! Casius and Julian were an amazing love story that is not over yet!!! Cliffy with action, drama, and romance. Needing more now. The narrator did a great job. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review.

Better than expected

I was worried after reading some reviews, but I really enjoyed the story and the narrator. I like the story shift where it's the humans on the verge of extinction while the shifters thrive.
Nice change of pace. on to the next book.

Casius and Julian

Cinderfella meets werewolf in this lovely spin-off 0f the fairytale. Casius and Julian have the insta-lust thing going on as they are fated mates. I liked that Casius doesn't take that as a guarantee of their future together and he's willing to go at the pace Julian sets. There is tons of action and intrigue but romance is the main attraction of the story. Julian may have grown up in a less than friendly home but he's no shrinking flower. He speaks up whenever he believes someone is wrong. Standing up to his family made me cheer.

Loved it but….

Overall the story was well written slower burn but…. I hate cliffhangers…

The narrator was good with a very good tone.

Overall I would recommend the book.
