exciting adventures and information about Nepal

From a listener who is not able to post for themselves with their own account:

I have listened to the audiobook version of Himalayan Kidnap after listening to Himalayan Heist which is another book in the series set after this book.

The book is about brothers Alex and James whose parents have been kidnapped and their adventure to save them.

Himalayan Kidnap features an accompanying PDF (just like Himalayan Heist does) with beautiful wildlife pictures that the author took herself and short informative writing about the photos. The photos are all related to events in each chapter. They help with setting the scene and are very interesting to look at.

I like the relationship between Alex and James. They care about each other and look out for each other even though they annoy each other. I like how much Alex and James care about their parents and the lengths they go to help them. It seems like a complete role reversal children rescuing their parents and I thought that was nice.

They have very exciting adventures and have many problems to solve and situations to overcome in order to help their parents. I like how clever Alex is and how knowledgeable he is about Nepal, nature and animals. Learning some of what he knows and how it helps them on their journey to help their parents is very interesting.

Also there's lots of information in the book about Nepal that I didn't know, such as mentions of the religion and landscape and wildlife that's very interesting to me reading it but it's still written in a very accessible way that is fun to read and easy to understand and the factual information does not detract from the plot.

The book leaves me wanting to read more of Alex and James' adventures.
