He knew the real reason they didn't like his books was because of the content. You see, Rick wrote "splatterpunk"...it was understandable that people might be triggered by the graphic nature of his stories. But then again, that's what the trigger warnings were for.

Delightful Redneck Horror
Jason Nickey and Stuart Bray delve into the depths of backwood hillbilly horror and delivers frights, laughs and utter strangeness. These two talented authors each bring three tales of their own flavors of redneck madness that has no limits. With demon trees, scummy ponds and endless woods. Not only are the stories fantastic, but so is the narration. If you enjoy some white trash terror, this is the book for you!

Jason Nickey and Stuart Bray
These two men together are a force to be reckoned with. Each story outdoes the other with vile digustingness. I feel dirty after listening to this, I don't think a shower will help me feel clean.
