Conclusion of Trilogy

This was the conclusion of the trilogy Bright Young Things written by Emmanuelle de Maupassant. We get a second mystery of who is trying to come between Hamish and Ophelia. I loved the suspense of learning who it was the most about this book. Hamish never truly won me over. He was written to be a wonderful man, but his comprising positions with Felicity over and over disheartened me. But we get a satisfying answer to the mystery and a wonderful HEA to end the trilogy.

Gareth Davies is a great narrator. He always transports me to the time and place the author has set. Excellent performance once again!

Final book of the trilogy - Danger and mayhem

Ophelia and Hamishs’ big day is coming and there are problems afoot.
With all the guests arriving, some unknown and even unwanted ones there is much happening.
A tale of jealousy, threats and even more danger from unexpected places and events.
In my opinion a trilogy that is best to be read / listened to in order one straight after the other.
This way you get a full appreciation for the couples story as a whole and their growing relationship, plus all of the other characters and their parts they play along the way.
A thoroughly enjoyable story that I loved (as well as the whole trilogy).
With much danger in this particular story and at other times quite humorous, I found myself laughing out loud on occasions with their antics.
Loved the narration throughout all three stories.

Wonderful

The third and final in the Bright Young Things trilogy had another mystery with a twist. The narrator was great with his highland brogue and special sound effects. The story had humor and mystery and “ Pudding” was adorable. I liked Hamish, he wasn’t exactly a typical hero with a sweet talking rogue like attitude but he had heart and conveyed his feelings to Ophelia as best he could. I think Ophelia’s jealousy stemmed from insecurity’s but in the end she finally realized without a doubt that Hamish truly loved her. A great holiday read from a favorite author. I have read many of her books but this audible trilogy was a real treat.

Will She or Won't She?

I was entertained by book three of the "Bright Young Things" series. Ophelia was determined to marry Hamish even though in the eyes of society he was an unsuitable match for her. Although the main theme threading throughout the story was about the marriage of Ophelia and Hamish, there was also a cozy mystery as someone was trying to prevent their marriage. I liked all the twists and turns that revealed who the culprit was. I admired the character of Ophelia as she didn't allow others to determine her path. I liked the character of Hamish as he supported Ophelia. Gareth J Davies' narration was superb as he provided different voices for the various characters, and he added sound clips and Scottish music which further enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
