Heavy focus on weight loss; does a good job explaining macros

This audiobook focuses heavily on the ways in which a high protein, low carb diet can help you to lose weight. Personally, I was hoping for more of a focus on the ways in which this diet helps with general health, but I understand that this was not the intended aim of the book. It does a great job explaining the science behind macros and why this strategy is recommended. It also suggests to strive for improvement over perfection—stating that a zero carb diet is much more likely to fail.

However, I found that this book had some logical inconsistencies as well. One that jumped out at me was the author mentioning that a zero carb diet would leave you eating vegetables. This immediately struck me as confusing since vegetables are primarily carbs and are certainly far from zero. Still, I believe the primary message of the book was strong and it provided helpful information for those exploring this diet.

Impressive book for dieters

This book provides an excellent source of help for anyone interested in this type high-protein, low-carb diet. I really liked the plans it provides. The book shows how you can easily incorporate this diet into your life.

Helpful and Encouraging

I’ve been stuck on the diet rollercoaster for a while now, losing weight and then regaining it when something goes wrong in my life. This is really disheartening.

Which is why I really liked this book. It does a great job explaining the science behind macros and how high protein can complement a low-carb approach. I realized that a low-carb diet isn’t just about cutting carbs, but you have to understanding how protein fits into the picture.

What really helped me is that itshows you how to customize your diet plan, because life happens and it’s not always possible to stick to a limited set of rules. The book also shows you how to decide on a realistic exercise plan, and how to strive for progress instead of perfection.

I think this is a great book for anyone struggling to lose weight. Give it a try—I really think it will help!
