The improbable idea of keeping kids captive for 6 months.

I thought the story was good with the ability of the kids to stay sane.

Another fun O’Brien!

This is my second Kevin O’Brien book and it was a fun listen. It was fairly predictable in some cases but also has nice twists and suspense. I will agree with other comments that the narrator took adjustment time…you have to embrace the corniness of the suspect’s CAMPY/terrible voice and push thru it. It was worth staying on to end.

My favorite O’Brien Novel so far!

This was so different and not at all what I expected. I loved the characters and even the villains in all their freaky glory 😂 nothing beats a creepy house!!

The ending was not expected at all

I love this author and his books are so suspenseful. The characters are well developed and you feel like you can actually picture them so well in your mind. This was such a great ending too. I never expected the outcome

the story was decent but the narrator was horrible

I enjoyed the story. The narrator tried too hard to get in character. I've listened to 4 books by this author so far and this narrator was the worst. I almost didn't finish the book.

Book would have been much better with another narrator. Several voices sounded like a cartoon

So realistic

There were so many twists that I couldn’t put it down. I wanted to find out who was the culprit or culprits. Great story.

Not predictable. When I thought I knew what was going to happen next, I was pleasantly surprised. Fun crime mystery story!
