Action packed!

This book was very well written and I loved the narrator! While the story wasn't quite what I was expecting, that didn't stop it from being engrossing enough that I want to see what happens to everyone in the future. Good stuff!

I love the world, but so much going on!

Which character – as performed by Troy Duran – was your favorite?

OMG this man can read me the phone book and I would say all his characters were my favorite. His voice was sin itself and his accents were perfect. I think I have found another favorite narrator!

Any additional comments?

OK so where to begin. I loved the premise of this story and I loved the journey through hell. The author is very creative in her take on angels and demons and I really enjoyed listening to this story. I really liked the journey through the 7 sides of Hell. I wish the author would have spent more time with this part of the story as it was the most appealing for me. I easily would have listened to a story twice as long if there would have been more time devoted to developing the 7 sides and if Ryan would have taken longer to get through each side.

That is my complaint for this story.....things were just too easy. There were so many different side stories and threads going on that the author did not spend enough time on the meat of this one. Ryan was distracted in each section, but each time was rescued by another and then it was instant salvation and on to the next side of hell. This story was great but would have been AMAZING with a bit more development.

I also did not like Abby after she remembered Ryan. She went from this sex, strong demon to a simpering, crying mess. She redeemed herself a bit at the end, but she was never the same.

Loved it!

No matter how many times I have listen to Rhyan's story I love it more and more. Rhyan has to overcome so many situations to rescue his love. I love how no matter how bad the situation was he pulled through I enjoyed listening to this book. Great work K.S. Haigwood looking forward to your other books.

Gamble with humanity

Hells Gift, Book 2 in the Save my Soul series.
Heaven and hell are at it again in this high stakes gamble between Rhyan, Lucifer and a very precious soul, that of Rhyan’s soulmate Abigail. Stakes are high and the winner takes all, but can Rhyan win with the traps, temptations and new lines drawn, the devil never plays fair and humanity stands in the balance.
This can be read as a standalone, but you will get a much better understanding of this amazing story by listening to the first book Save My Soul.
Troy Duran brought the characters to life with his narration.

An adventure in Hell!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙❤️💚🖤
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😊😄😘
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Solo Narration

The Hero: Rhyan - he was a guardian angel who fell in love with his charge. Though she loved someone else and when she chose the man she loved, Rhyan was seriously depressed. He was so down that he started talking loudly about how unhappy he was, and he had a few choice words about heaven not being the greatest place to be. That was when he ended up in Hell.

The heroine: Abigail - in hell, there are seven sides, that take after the seven deadly sins, each section has a prince or princess of hell that lords over their turf and the souls within. Abigail is a princess of Hell, and her side is gluttony. The souls that were gluttons in life now live in a squalor where it constantly rains acid. They are full of sores that never get better. She was good at her job, she was great at torturing the souls she lorded over, and she was even sleeping with the boss, Lucifer himself. Until one day there was a new soul in her section. One look at him and she couldn’t get him out of her mind.

The Story: The world building in this story is terrific. There are so many different souls in Hell. There are minions, demons, fallen angels, different kinds of beasts and monsters and of course there is Lucifer at the top. So much happens in this book, and there is stuff that happens other places as well, like back in Heaven where Rhyan has some friends, Jocelyn and Malcom. Rhyan goes on a whole journey to get back to Heaven and it certainly isn’t assured that he and Abigail will make it. Meanwhile, when he sleeps, he is able to be in contact with his friends in heaven who can help him by healing his wounds and giving him bits of power that help him survive.

I liked the concept of this book and the story, though I am never happy when the heroine is too mean or slutty and Abigail has both of those qualities in spades. Not only is torturing souls something she does, but she enjoys it way too much. She is also into S&M and kind of a dominatrix in parts. She does get more likable as the story progresses, but I was just not a fan of her as a heroine. I guess I like my Heroes to be strong alpha males and the females to be the weaker sex in romance books, since we all know that isn’t really how it is in real life, or at least it hasn’t been in mine. Maybe because it never happened for me, I like the thought of a strong man who takes care of and cherishes his woman.

This audiobook was told in multiple points of view via solo narration and was narrated by Troy Duran. He is one of my favorite male narrators. He has a deep sexy voice and is great at using different voices for different characters and showing emotion through his voice.

Amazing second book

Would you listen to Hell's Gift again? Why?

Yes I will continue to listen to this audiobook again. I love this story and the voice of Troy Duran is amazing. The story just flowed, from the story line to the voices coming together.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Abigail was my favorite character in this story. In Save My Soul, the first book in this series, my favorite character was Rhyan but Abigail won me over. I still love Rhyan but Abigail literally went through hell in her life for mistakes she made. She held herself responsible for her decisions.

What does Troy Duran bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The voices Troy uses are so clear and complete in that there is no misunderstanding who is speaking at any given time. The voice he uses for Lucifer actually gave me goosebumps, it was so unnerving. Inner thoughts are very clear and there is no misunderstanding if there is a break or change in characters.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Would you travel to Hell to bring back the love you didn't know existed?

Any additional comments?

This was a fantastic book and owning the audiobook is a wonderful addition. This will be an audiobook I will listen to again and again. I highly recommend this book, series and audiobook. I will look for both author K.S. Haigwood and narrator Troy Duran.

This book you will fall in love with

Would you listen to Hell's Gift again? Why?

Yes, the way the story is set up and you feel like you are there with the characters. You feel what they feel and their trial and tribulations. The story comes alive and the narration is suburb. I felt like I was with Ryan and Abby through the whole story and experiencing everything with them.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hell's Gift?

The most memorable was for me was the fact of when they realized who each other were and how their story unfolded. The point of the story of how much they were meant for one another and their story. Also how Jocelyn and her mate meet and cannot understand what is happening to them.

Have you listened to any of Troy Duran’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I have not but he did an awesome narrative and loved his characters voices, and his voice is soothing.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Hot in Hell

Any additional comments?

I would say this is a must to your listening enjoyment! The story takes you thorough trials and tribulations and what would you do for love. Would you do and give everything for the love of your life and be able to conquer all and admit and to and forgive things that can bind us.

Best audiobook I have ever listened to!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would absolutely recommend this audiobook to friends and strangers!!!!! And have! Most audiobooks I have listened to drive me insane. But this one was so well spoken and didnt destroy the story like so many others. Mr. Duran did a wonderful job with Hell's Gift.

What other book might you compare Hell's Gift to and why?

Hell's Gift is not a book you can compare with others. It is definitely one of a kind. And its one of my absolute favorites!!!!

Have you listened to any of Troy Duran’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I had not heard of Mr. Duran until K.S. Haigwood got him to do Hell's Gift. He is pretty awesome though!

Any additional comments?

I would like to thank both the author and Mr. Duran for wonderful entertainment!!!! I am grateful for their talents and would like to recommend to anyone that doesn't "have time" or doesn't "like" to read, pick up an audiobook! You will love it.
