About this listen

Belle Sorenson Gunness was Norwegian-American serial killer who stood six feet tall and weighed more than 200 pounds. She ended up killing most of her boyfriends and suitors. Horrifically, she also murdered two of her daughters. This is the biography of a ruthless woman whose abominable deeds earned her nicknames such as Lady Bluebeard, Hell's Belle, and the Mistress of Murder Farm. She has gone down in history as one of the most prolific serial killers of America.

Low expectations..

I knew a book only 33 minutes long could not contain any significant amount of detail and I was right, it barely scratches the surface.

The narrator was good, but must be using sub-standard recording equipment. It sounds like she's speaking through a long tunnel.

I only purchased this because I'd never heard of Belle Gunness but I really wish the author would have dug into the lives of these people and fleshed out an actual story. I hope someone does at some point, because this woman is fascinating and I'd love to read more about her.
