About this listen

Bunny and Cody are a pair of escorts entertaining two low-rent dope dealers in a seedy motel. When one of the dealers attacks Cody, Bunny takes the law into her own hands and shoots the men dead.

Stealing the drug dealer's stash of cocaine and money, the women carjack a housekeeper at the motel.

Lolita is no ordinary maid, however, as she mysteriously knows details about the prostitutes' lives.

Paul Nighthorse is an emotionally scarred deputy who catches the case. His pursuit takes a dark turn as his own demons come back to haunt him in the form of a stripper who has information on the whereabouts of the women.

With the deputy in hot pursuit, the threesome go on the run. Lolita tries to talk the two women into giving their lives over to God. But Bunny thinks they finally have enough money to get out of the life. ...Until Cody reveals that one of the men had bitten her.

And now she thinks she is becoming a vampire.

Before the night is over, the women realize that there are no easy getaways.

Vampires, Strippers, and mafia hitters?

Wow, this was a weird story. Not sure what I feel about it even now. It is loosely about a cop hunting a group of girls, one of whom is bitten by a mysterious Jamaican Man, another who is not what she seems, a sweet stripper who is too good to be true, and the cop who is after them all. The story is about a chase that leads to madness, murder, and mahyhem. It also has a strange man who keeps looking for his dog, who coinidentally, is named the same as one of the girls.
The story does not have a neat and tidy ending as you might expect. It does not follow avenues that you might expect either, but it does conclude in a most definitive manner. It will lave you asking if there is more to it, or if it rally was as it seemed. For a 50 minute tale it sure does its job.

Scarlato keeps the amazing narration going. I am no longer surprised at his level of quality, or the deft way he handles characters, I just take it at face value that he is a highly talanted individual, and that he improves any story he works on. Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. In fact, getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review.
