About this listen

After making a bad decision when she was very young, Kia Clementine finds herself in hell. Then, suddenly, within the time it takes for a shotgun to blast, her hell changes. Completely. Then, out of the blue, she sees Sampson Cooper, her celebrity crush. A man the whole world knows is decent. A man the world knows is loyal. A man the world knows is good. All of these very unlike her now dead husband. He's sitting at a table right next to hers. And she catches his eye.

Terrified of the interest Sam shows in her, Kia finds the courage to go out with him. Not long after, she shares her dark secrets, and Sam shares that he'll stop at nothing to gain her trust. As Sam leads Kia to heaven, Kia realizes that Sam is living his own hell. Although he gives her beauty and she gives him everything, he withholds his trust. Even with all the beauty Sam shows her, Kia wants it all. But Sam forces Kia to make a heartbreaking decision, and only she can decide. It's all or nothing.

5 Fantastic Stars

Oh this book, Kristen Ashley strikes my heart again. The emotions, the joy, the sorrow, this woman slays me.

Kia, falls for the high school jock marries him but there life isn’t anything like she thought it was going to be. Circumstance change and not only is Kia left with the wake of a life in which she regretted but now she needs to move on with dignity and grace.

A chance meeting where she meets Sampson Cooper her celebrity crush, turns to an extraordinary date. Not only does she me this incredible man, she meets his best friend Luci who takes a liking to Kia. Luci and Kia become fast friends.

Kia is trying to move on with her life but her ex has royal messed with her life and is still doing it from the grave. She has to travel back to her home town, Sam comes with, and lordy be the scene with Sam and her girl posse had me laughing till I had tears!
There is some pretty emotion stuff going on in this book and the two scenes that have me tearing up just think about them is with Kia and her dad breaks my heart, also the one with Kia and Luci. Powerful stuff right there.

I think I love Kristen’s work so much because she brings them full circle, she also connects her other books. We get to see Lee and Joe and Tanner I mean how cool that is!

Half this book I am talking to my self and it goes a little something like this… Oh Sam how you can want her to open herself up like that when you won’t do the same. I get you have your own issues but look at her and see what your silence is doing. NOT fair Sam NOT fair. lol yes I talk to my self even when listening to an audiobook.

Ok I totally FREAKING LOVE Hap!! Hap is Sam’s other bestie.
Here are my 2 favorite quotes of the book and that is will be all for this review

“Heaven is you to baby.” OMG right!!!

Sam’s mom to Kia
“We share more than Sammy honey. I know all about walking right through hell and suddenly finding yourself on the other side. Glad it gets to be me that greet you there but more I am glad I can say I raised a man who would take your hand and lead the way.”

You need this book in your life... I swear it. <3 Worth the money worth the credit worth it all.

Looooooved this book

This is a long story... But I wouldn’t want to miss a single word in it. What an awesome story where you really get to know the characters and even when it ended, I wanted more. Sam and Kia, what a perfect love story. There is soooo much humor and soul in this book. Definitely a book I want to read/listen to again.
Narration: Felicity was perfect. She made me love Kia.

Remake of The Gamble

If you enjoyed The Gamble then you will like this book. The names and the locations are different but the story is pretty much like reading The Gamble again.

The best yet

I agree with a lot of reviewers KA's use of the f bomb can take away from a good story and great characters, but in heaven and hell it wasn't too much and really made the story that much easier to appreciate...best one to date....

Another one AWESOME book

What made the experience of listening to Heaven and Hell the most enjoyable?

I love Kristen Ashley, everything she writes is absolute perfection! Felicity Munroe made it even more perfect with her fabulous voice and narrating skills.

What did you like best about this story?

It was a super extra perfect love story between two people that even their rough lives and times found and loved each other. I laughed (a lot), I cried, I felt and I LOVED THEM!

Have you listened to any of Felicity Munroe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, and she is always very very good! I love her accent, her voice, her tone and how she narrates both girly and manly voices performing them perfectly!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

A lot, but I don't want to cause any spoilers!

Any additional comments?

Thank you very much once again Kristen Ashley and Felicity Munroe for this book.

Pure Heaven

This book is why Kristen Ashley is an automatic read for me. It had everything a hopeless romantic craves in a romance novel. A desperate situation, a sweet but stronger-than-she-thinks woman, a man willing to go to hell for her and her for him and plenty of action and emotional highs and lows to make you feel as if you are in the middle of it all.
After receiving a momentary reprieve from the hell life has been for her, Kia enters the world of the privileged and meets the man that has starred in many of her fantasies. She doesn't expect the heaven she finds with her Sam to last because if life has shown her anything, it's that happiness is fleeting. Sam, however, means to prove her wrong. In some books this would take you to the happy ending, but not with one of Kristen Ashley's books. This is only the beginning.
Felicity Monroe's excellent timing and talent with voices took me further into this world that made my commute in traffic more entertaining all lines shorter.

Loved it

Not sure how I missed this one. I feel like I’ve read so many of her books. But this one touched me. Kia and Sam and their close group of friends are amazing characters. Celeste and Tomas, Lucci, Hap, Maris, the whole gang from Indiana and the cantankerous crab shack owner himself. Loved it. Now onto Loose Ends for Hap and Lucci’s complicated story.
