Cliffhanger!!

I love forbidden stories. I do not like cliffhangers. The chemistry was very good and I could see the lust. I wish it was shorter and I wish the second book was available.

Heartless

The story is about enemies to lovers, stepsiblings, high school, and a possessive/jealous hero. Interesting story and typical of this genre. The cliffhanger with no follow up is not a good thing for me.

Just the absolute best story. Everything I like to listen about and more. Such a great story I will listen again and again. A keeper!!

Too much side characters

This story was good at the beginning. As the story progressed, I had a hard time connecting with the main characters. I felt like the story focused more on supporting characters. The story was bland like nothing stood out. I also had a hard time distinguishing the difference between the hero and heroine voices. Her reading sounded all the same. I managed to finish this but I wouldn’t recommend it. Unless you have nothing to do and wanted to listened to a story that will make you fall asleep.

The story is one I like, forbidden love, but the narrator is very monotone making it hard to get through. To top off the struggle to finish, it ends in a cliffhanger!! Overall I give it a 4 star review. On to the next book...

Entertaining and Sweet

Entertaining story and I love the forbidden premise. I don’t really find it forbidden though. They don’t grow up together, so the whole stepbrother forbidden romance doesn’t really seem like a problem to me. Liked the enemies to lovers scenario too. Also, the narrator did a good job, so I liked the audio. What didn’t work for me was just how unpleasant the female lead is. She puts her nose into everyone else’s business, she’s judgmental and is a horrible friend. She’s really a mean girl trying to act like a nice one. She is a teenager, so I’m trying to give her the benefit of the doubt for her immaturity, but it’s tough. I did like that she comes out and tells the truth to her sort of friend when she made mistakes; I just wish she had more positive qualities. Another thing, I also was really grossed out by Cade’s past. I don’t want to give spoilers, but it was just unnecessary to include that in the story. It didn’t add anything to the story. It’s just gross and sad. At least he thought with more than his penis; I really appreciated that. In the end, I liked him. I wish the author focused more on the build up of the relationship between Lexi and Cade and not so much on side stories with Lexi’s friends. Too much story of Lexi meddling into other people’s business. I enjoyed the connection between Lexi and Cade; there are some really sweet moments. I also enjoyed some of their banter too. They are both quite sassy. The writing is good too. My like of characters is really important, so I ended up going with a 3 star. It’s a high 3 though and Lexi may not bother others as she did me. I have the next book already and I do want to see where the characters end up.

Fobidden romance!!

Wow what a book! A love/ hate relationship to teens. Their parents get married so the relationship is doomed because that makes them related by marriage. I can’t tell you more without spoiling it. A must read! I recommend this book!

Emotional

This one blew my mind. It is so typical of what teenagers go through. I loved every second of it. Kalena did an outstanding job narrating it!

Story is good, narrator not so good

Short and to the point.
Story was a step taboo high school trope but the narrator killed it (and not in a good way). The story has multiple characters talking but told from the heroine POV. Unfortunately the narrator couldn’t switch between voices. The heroine, the friends, the men and the hero all sounded the same and it was difficult to follow the dialog and story because you didn’t know who was talking at any given time because it all sounded the same.
It reminded me of when a substitute teacher would read to the class.
