Romantic Adventure.

Another book I read a long time ago and knew I liked it. I don’t remember the heroine being quite the witch with a B, but I still enjoyed the story and as the book progresses the heroine does mellow out some. The book is dated as it is before 9/11 so many things are different concerning national security, but still an enjoyable storyline. I do tend to like a romance with lots of action. In general, I like Karen Robards books and this one did not disappoint. The narrator was okay.

Pety bickering of all the characters, overall whining.

Rather an unbelievable plot after about the halfway point. Just could not suspend enough disbelief to enjoy it.

I love Karen Robards books - somehow I had missed this older one, but it’s one of her best!! Great story - kept my interest throughout!!

I really enjoyed the suspense of the story

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I have listened to some of her other books but I think this is one of my favorite of hers.

I truly don’t relish writing harsh reviews, but I would have appreciated this information before I purchased.

On top of the audio quality being poor, the narrator is very monotonous. I had trouble telling which character was speaking at times - which made the story hard to follow. You can audibly hear her opening and closing her mouth and over pronouncing “s” at the end of words so one word flows into the other- like an ASMR YouTube video.

The story might be good - I don’t know. I tried listening to it three times and only made it to chapter 3.

LAME

It's really hard to believe the same author wrote this book & The Black Swan of Paris, they're not even close to the same league not to mention the awful narrator. This book was really hard to get through, there's a totally unnecessary sex scene in here. Im not sure why I listened to the whole thing cause I was literally skipping ahead in the end just to get it over with. Very disappointing😞
