About this listen

When security expert Sean Wilson takes his wife, Amanda, along on a business trip to an isolated bed and breakfast, he's hoping to combine work and pleasure. But when four armed men storm the inn and take the staff and his wife hostage, the romantic getaway is over. A former army Ranger, Sean will do anything to save his wife, and when he finds the seven-year-old granddaughter of the innkeeper in the snowy woods, the situation becomes more dire. Sean must get the child to safety, but as the armed men become increasingly hostile and violent, Amanda's life is also on the line. Cut off from help and spurred by desperation, Sean and Amanda must make hard choices that could get them all killed.

Thriller Award nominee and bestselling romantic suspense author Melinda Leigh delivers a pause-resister story of love, fear, and desperate choices.

Action packed

A great read. The narrator was very good also. I have never gotten so absorbed or so close to the characters in a short story before. I highly recommend this book.

He Can Fall Book 4.5

Although this was a short story it is amazing that the couples her have been in the background of the other books series that I have read. From the first one up to this Sean Wilson a forma Army Ranger who has security company and also help in the other previous cases with the Westbury Police he and his wife have their first time away from work and vocation. Their plan was to get way free from all their usual life activities. Unfortunately, they run into a problem but his skill came very useful and he was able to take out their emeries.
Face with four criminals and his wife and other women in the hands of criminals and one of them are very unstable. He had to work very fast and hard to save his wife and the others from criminal.

Short but worth the listern

Melinda Leigh is a very talented author. She can even boil a good plot into a short story. Well done.
Christopher Lane is an OG narrator. Brings characters to life.
