I love the characters and how their relationship develops. This is a steamy, cool, feisty, fun that is truly hard to put down. My only objection is that I wish someone had given Gary a good throat punch...I like to imagine it did happen.This is surely worth knowing. I got this book as and am willingly leaving an honest review.

Their story is filled with an undeniable attraction but their relationship will be tested as there are hidden forces trying to destroy both their reputations and relationship.I would totally recommend this book to everyone

Cassie and Ivan

Firstly I have to admit that I'm English and I never watch sports so a story about American Football can sometimes be disappointing. Not this one, Harper Lauren's story concentrates more on the people than the sport thankfully. Although obviously sport is included sometimes.

Cassie I thought was going to be unbearable, and in the beginning she was, she's so spoiled and entitled, she has never had to work a day in her life and when her rich and powerful father (an IT Millionaire) sent her to the country to live with his sister and work on the family farm to learn the value of hard work and money I didn't hold out much hope for her.

Ivan on the other had is an injured football star for the Winfield Warriors who has gone home to his home town to recover from an injury on the field. His father has recently died leaving his mother with lots of debts. So when Cassie's father offers to pay him his football salary to "keep an eye" on his daughter he accepts the deal. He starts doing light work at the farm and takes Cassie under his wing and tries to help her adjust.

At first these two do nothing but spar and they are so very different you can't really see them coming together, but slowly as time passes they become friends and Cassie shares with Ivan her dram of becoming a fashion designer.. Ivan encourages her and their friendship deepens.

I'm not going to tell you the plotline word for word, what would be the point? What i will say is that this story, drew me in, it was well written with excellent characterisation and great chemistry and I for one thoroughly enjoyed seeing how these two opposites came together.

The book was beautifully performed by Ainslie Caswell, she did a wonderful job of bringing every single character to life making listening to this book a joy.

From Princess to Rodeo Queen

I liked the storyline, the city princess sent to her aunts farm to learn work ethics and that money doesn't grow on trees. Cassie doesn't only learn those things but she really blooms in her passion of designing clothing. Which popularity grows among the town. During her banishment Ivan is home recuperating from an injury. Not all rolls in the pig pen end up a dirty mess and a love and appreciation grows. The characters are really good, the narrator was a bit bland, needed a bit more personality into the different characters, but I wouldn't not have the audio only for that reason. Overall, loved the book.

it will be interesting

I was so deep into this book that I could not put it down. Found that a range of emotions come to visit throughout the book as more.They truly are meant for each other and only time will tell if they get there...it offered up a whole lot more than I had bargained for from what I originally thought was just going to be a quick and easy sports romance. Well done!

I love everything about this book. The characters feeling develop is wonderfully. Narrator did a great job he well delivered the story and feels the listener that you are watching a movie. Ivan and Cassey one great story that will never forget.

4 Star Review of Hard Game (Wild Boys Sports Romance #1) by Harper Lauren
Harper Lauren is a new author to me and I listened to this book on audio. Hard Game was a good start to a new series and I look forward to the next book from Harper Lauren.
I enjoyed Hard Game but I was not keen on the narration and did not feel that they did the book justice, however that is just my opinion.
Cassy is a 25 year old spoiled rich girl; used to spending her father’s money and partying hard. When her father has had enough he sends her to stay with her aunt in the hopes that she will change her ways before it is too late.
Ivan is recovering from a injury that may end his career, he is intrigued when Cassy’s father approaches him and offers him money to befriend and guide her, hopefully teaching her to become more responsible along the way.
The attraction between Cassy and Ivan grows but what will happen when Cassy finds out that Ivan was paid to get to know her?
From the start Cassy annoyed me and although she grew on me (as her attitude improved) I really couldn’t get into her.

Great listen

I enjoyed this story. There was some drama and steam that made it hard to stop listening. The narrator did a wonderful job of voicing the different characters. I would recommend this listen!

Hard Game

Overall Hard Game was a good story with some great characters. The Narrator did a good job bring the characters to life I really enjoyed it. Cassi and Ivan had great chemistry together and love HEA.

A very sweet story that has some heat to it. The story line and plot are entertaining and fun.I really enjoy the insta-love aspect of this book.
