Acerca de esta escucha

Warned by the prophecy that a new and greater danger threatens the lands of the west, Garion, Belgarath, and Polgara must begin another quest to save the lands from great evil.

Three years have passed since Garion's killing of the evil god Torak and his marriage to Ce'Nedra. He is now Overlord of the West, slowly learning how to cope with the duties of a king and to overcome the difficulties within his marriage.

When the Orb of Aldur warns Garion to "Beware Zandramas!" the Voice of Prophecy reveals that somewhere in the unknown land of the East the Dark Prophecy still exists and that great new dangers threaten.

While Belgarath and Garion seek to uncover the nature of this threat, Garion's baby son is kidnapped. All evidence points to the loathsome Bear-cult, which has gained power once more, and Garion leads an army bent on its destruction. But there are even more sinister forces at work, and Garion and his followers must look towards the malign and mysterious evil of Zandramas. Their quest must begin again.

Was used to the original narrator from the first series of books. A little hard to get into this one

Consistent flow of story. Story holds your attention. You get into the story and see their world through their eyes.

Great writer!

prefer Cameron (sp) Bierly as the narrator. No disrespect to the gentleman who's doing it now, just my preference.

Eddings writing skill and story telling abilities.

There is nothing that ruins an audiobook more than mispronouncing words, except, perhaps, doing so on purpose. The narrator reads very well, but mispronounces important words throughout, such as Polgara, Belgarath, Angarak, and so on. It takes a great deal away from this epic tale. Not pleased

It’s all in the delivery

Quay, it's pronounced "Key". This is such a dumb thing for a professional to do.

Narrator mispronounces words, not just names

well written, but I would recommend finding the first part of the story. The book was written as if the author expects you to know certain things already.

didn't realize that the story was a sequel

they changed out the Narrator from Cameron Beierle to Eric Michael Summerer and he does terrible for this book. Cameron did an amazing job, but they deleted his work and replaced it with someone who doesn't even try for different voices. half the time I can't tell who he's supposed to be talking as. Cameron Beierle did both the Belgariad and the Malloreon, but now there's a different Narrator for both series and neither lives upto or even close to Cameron's original works. highly disappointed with this change.

new narrator
