When the queen commands him to carry out a horrible task against her stepdaughter, Snow White, Grump is in over his head. He's bound by magic to help the queen, but also to protect Snow White. As if that wasn't stressful enough, the queen keeps bugging him for updates through her magic mirror! He'll have to dig deep to find a way out of this pickle, and that's enough to make any dwarf Grumpy indeed.

Paul Fox is an excellent narrator

Paul Fox was fantastic as the narrator for this story. The story was also fantastic. All-around good book. I would recommend it to other listeners for sure

If you’re a fan of Gregory Maguire or Christina Henry, this is for you. I’ve already added the rest of these “fairly true tales” to my wish list.

This was a really creative retelling of Snow White

This was a fun listen, but there wasn't a character I felt connected to and invested in. Also, some parts were surprisingly graphic for a children's book. Overall, it was an entertaining story with excellent narration.
