Not only is Janine Green but the dog comes into her bedroom every morning and speaks to her. Yes! The dog can speak, but then so can the cat. However this morning the dog doesn't come in. Where is he? What has happened to him? This is the problem for Green Janine to solve. She will hunt for him until she finds him and brings him home. But how to do so is going to be the problem.
After one unsuccessful attempt and a run in with the police, her friend Mr Mafista turns up (he does magic but not always very well) and they locate the dog. But the dog is under lock and key and they have to get him out! How did this happen and how will it end?
