Comprehensive biographies yet easy to follow!

This audiobook offers very comprehensive biographies of some of America’s greatest leaders. The book contains biographies for Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill, George Washington, Ulysses S. Grant, and Napoleon Bonaparte, each of which offers valuable information about their upbringing and political careers. Considering that these leaders date back to early United States history, the author included a lot of information about each leaders’ childhood, influences, and life before becoming leaders. This insight helps set the foundation for their future leadership tendencies and causes they were interested in pursuing. For instance, Abraham Lincoln’s real-life experiences with slavery fueled his passion for ending slavery and was a cause he never stopped fighting to abolish. I also enjoyed how the author depicted each leaders’ road into politics and provided more detail than many authors typically do on their life before politics. Moreover, I appreciated that the author used the same structure for each leader and separated the chapters to reflect this structure.

In regards to the narrator’s contributions, the narrator has a unique, enthusiastic voice. Considering the nature of the material, the narrator offers an interesting tone and makes the biographies both interesting and easy to follow. The author speaks clearly and transitions smoothly from one leader to the next.

Although the author covers quite a bit of information and comprehensive analysis of each leader, the biographies are separated into smaller parts, making the information digestible and easy to understand. Considering this layout, I believe the audiobook is great for people interested in history or students conducting research on any one of these leaders. I also believe it would be an excellent option for high school students because it is easy to follow and offers the added benefit of listening rather than reading the material. It’s a perfect option for anyone conducting research!

great summary

narrator did a good job. I never thought much about history, leadership, or interests in battles, killing men, I can never agree with. however, I realize that I missed out on a lot in the past by not learning. I was a business student high school and college, so paid no attention, didn't effect me, obviously I was wrong. trying to learn now.

Do not buy, read, or listen to this book

The writing in this book is so bad that it makes me wonder if English is the author's first language. I genuinely believe most eighth graders could write in a more compelling style and with greater command of the English language than the author. Don't waste your time or money.

Terrible

Don’t waste your credit on this title. Lacks depth or support of points made, really a random assortment of disconnected statements. Go deep on titles that cover these leaders in depth.

Performer is awful, feels like he is screaming at you the entire time
