An interesting mix
Overall enjoyable; but several of these stories were quoted dated in terms of language and content. Heavily weighted toward British upper class sensibility. The quality of writing is excellent but certainly not representative of the diverse background of experiences.

Style over substance
Many of the stories feature good writing that leads nowhere. Girl meets boy. She likes him, but he's not interested. No explanation as to why. She goes away. The end.
