Nothing to do with gorillas...
What made the experience of listening to Gorilla Mindset the most enjoyable?
...but a lot to do with mindset. Overall an informative book. The section on mindset is helpful, but not very deep. Would be good for someone who has no prior knowledge of mindfulness or positive framing. The section on exercise and nutrition is way too packed with bro-science (even though the author criticizes others for using similar bro-science), with very little information to back up ideas and claims. It might be a good starting point for someone to start more research into health.The section on career is the best section, in my opinion, although the author goes a little far into bro-finance in the same section. Again, a little too lacking in depth to make it great, but it can prompt further research among readers.

How could the performance have been better?
I would say that a professional narrator would have made the book much better, but it would have lost the personal touch the author obviously wanted. The author has some annoying speaking mannerisms, and his annunciation needs serious work, but I was able to look past these flaws in favor of the book's content.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were some gems in the book which resonated strongly with me, and I bookmarked them so I can review them again. The book is practical in nature, so nothing highly emotional.
Any additional comments?
Some parts read too much like a sales copy, with the author hawking his other books within the book itself. I think this took away from the quality of the book, but the author made it pretty clear he wrote the book for the money first and the message second.

Good book, but too much repetition
The book contains some good techniques on self-motivation and positive reinforcement. I did develop the impression that the author was afraid that the book would be too short and thus found that many of the concepts/ideas were repeated, almost to the point of boredom.

Valuable Life Changing Information
This book provides the high points of $10,000+ I have spent on information and seminars and 100s of hours in time learning this info along with podcasts from health gurus. You are doing yourself a massive disservice if you let Cernovich’s political positions sway your decision not to purchase this book. This book should be mandatory reading for any male just out of college.

Great Book
I purchased this book years ago! I am not sure why there are so many mediocre reviews. He provided valuable compelling information. I have had many struggles off and on. He encourages positive self talk. When you are struggling, take a listen. It is clear he is sincere. My person situation, I need to become silent, become aware . Thanks Mike, you are appreciated!!

You really need this book!
This is a fantastic book and is well worth the read. Mike has proven with venture after venture that he knows what he is talking about and is worth listening to. Tons of helpful insights and suggestions here...if you only absorb a small percentage of them, it will still be well worth your time.

What made the experience of listening to Gorilla Mindset the most enjoyable?
While the information in this book isn't anything different from most other self help books, there was one thing that I gained from it that I hadn't really thought of before. I'm not going to go into detail because I'd rather let Gorilla Mindset speak to you. I hope Hillary doesn't disappear Mike.
