Perfect narration! My kids love this and make up things to say goodnight too afterwards. Love the accent of the narrator

We love reading the book to my two year old son so having the book play through the speaker in his room gives a new dimension to story times

An all time favorite for my son

I had this book for my kids when they were very little and they loved it. So I decided to check out the audible version. the narrator does a good job but it's way too slow. There's lots of music in between each short sentence. The music was nice but I lost interest less than halfway though due to how slow it is.

I like that they include the pictures to look at while listening, since the pictures are what make the story . If this is your first time listening to this book and looking at the pictures it may not seem that slow to you. But if you are familiar with the story you are likely to be disappointed.

I had difficulty seeing the pictures on my smartphone. I would recommend using a tablet or computer instead.

fun story for little kids

My 2 year old niece loves this story every night before bed. The images work great and the narration is wonderful because it is slow enough for her to follow along. It makes you feel like you have your own British nanny reading you to sleep!

Works great!

Of course this sweet nighttime classic by Margaret Wise Brown is a beloved book but do not waste your credits on this horrible version. You are much better off to use the free audio version from your local library on one of their platforms than use this one from audible.. I can't believe audible charges for this when they have actually used the worst scanned photos of the illustrations I've ever seen. Each page shows white hairs and fuzz! It really seems like they have bootlegged the photos illegally. In addition, the photos don't even match the book! Anyone who has read this book with a child knows the delight in the black and white photos being alternated with the gorgeous illustrations by Clement Hurd, who skillfully and sweetly slowly darkens the room with each successive drawing and leaves delightful changes so children can listen and also challenge themselves to find tge differences like finding the little mouse. But this audible version completely ruins all of this with their horrible photo copies. Not only do they use altered colored fakes for the black and white pages but the lighting is so terrible you can't even see the mouse. On the other hand the lovely music and voice over is soothing and well done. It's too bad audible has ruined such a sweet book. It would be better not to even include the photos then have the while experiment ruined.

Horrible scanned inaccurate photos of illustrations ruin experience
