Cummings; a good storyteller
This story is from Planet Stories 1942, when Cummings was beginning to slip from his position as a top science fiction writer. He seemed to struggle finding fresh ideas. This simple story, however, is rather well told and very well read. The result is pleasing and brings back the Pulp era with its sense of wonder.
