Very entertaining and good story. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick book to pass the time.

The world

I have to say this Short Story left me wanting more. I want to know exactly the events that led up to this amazing finale. Rogot and his son travel through this land of the dead and magic and have some captivating elements. I like this idea of many worlds and there being these god bloods that are "offspring" of the creator. The twist at the end was good and once you see their interactions you figure it out. Solid story would love to see it fleshed out.

Riveting Story

I really am not a reader of horror books, yet this book balanced the gore with a strong storyline. It had me wondering about what I would do given the choice of saving humanity or my child-very reminiscent of Abraham and Isaac in the Bible. How unshakable is our faith when it challenges us to believe that an evil act can be justified for the greater good? The descriptive writing made it easy to picture the characters and the hostile world. The growing, rotting, and losing of body parts might easily creep into my dreams. This would make a fabulous graphic novel or anime film!

Enthralling and riveting dark fantasy

Loved the world building and setting. The pacing and tone are excellent. The story is a quick, easy listen without any unnecessary excess. I highly recommend this for any fan of dark fantasy.

A great entry for someone new to the genre

I had no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The story had me intrigued from the beginning and the world building was impressive for such a short story. Eeriness, twists, hidden metaphors and solid narration made this an excellent listen
