Wonderful collection and beautifully narrated!

I love this collection of the classic Scrooge story told from the perspectives of other characters. Each story is the right length and each adds something unique to the original, giving it a freshness it hasn't had for awhile. Kabura Mukasa's voice is wonderful - rich and mellifluous, and her pacing is perfect and makes the stories a delight to follow.

New Life for a Beloved Classic

I enjoyed this entertaining collection of tales imagining the stories of minor characters in A Christmas Carol. Each story was well-crafted to read as if it was lifted right from the original story, yet at the same time added new depth, particularly to the mystery and power of redemption. This collection entertained me, made me think more deeply and enrichened my sense of the wonder and beauty of what Christmas truly celebrates.

I was struck by the lovely narration of these stories. The narrator's British accent is perfect for this collection and her voice lovely. Her enunciation is superb and her intonation really well fitted to the text. She draws out different voices for each character well, which brought each story alive and made listening a joy.

Clever, creative, & wonderful!

An act of kindness is like throwing a pebble in a pond--it ripples out and the effect keeps going. This set of clever and creative tales takes us into the lives of minor characters in A Christmas Carol, weaving their stories in and out of the life of Ebenezer Scrooge. I listened to this book on Audible and was totally impressed with the narrator, Kabura Mukasa. Her natural British accent was a perfect choice for the setting of the stories, and her ability to express a different voice with each character, whether male or female, child or adult, was admirable. There was a lyric quality that made her easy to listen to and her voice echoed the emotions of the stories with a masterful touch. Well done!

A delightful series of stories—for Christmas or anytime

This was a Christmas Eve treat for me, but the redemption narratives grouped under this title would be delightful any time of year. Fascinating for those familiar with the Dickens classic and those not. Artful narration that brings characters to life and makes listening a magical experience. Highly recommended.

Christmas Carols to make each of us a better person

I loved the inflection, pronunciation, and evenness of tone in the Narrator’s voice. It allowed me to focus on each story without distraction. Each story was complete in itself, but when story IX brought it to a tidy conclusion, I was overjoyed at the cohesiveness, saddened that it had ended. I would recommend it to anyone 10 yrs. +. I have enjoyed listening and appreciate being invited to be a reviewer. Pamela Teige
