Publisher's summary

Critter wrangler rule 17—even the smallest creature can be big in magic.

Kyra Greene never thought she’d return to Asgard. Not after she burned the Rainbow Bridge, the only road home. Now, she has no choice. With her unborn child’s life at stake, she must find a new route to the old world or die trying.

Asgard will bring up ghosts of her past, and Kyra will have to atone for her crimes, but none of that is as important as saving the life of her child—until a ghoul infestation threatens the very fabric of Asgard itself.

Can Kyra find the source of the ghouls before Asgard becomes the next Terra and falls into a war of magic and demons?

Ghouls Don't Scamper is book six of the Valkyrie Bestiary series.

I love this series

Another great story. I have to say I am hooked on this series. I absolutely love all the different types of critters and I like Kyra's character, especially in this one. Mason is also a very strong character as well & a perfect mate for Kyra.
Now that Gunora has passed her curse of mother, maiden & crone to Kyra, she is now desperate to save her baby, which Kyra calls little bean which I love. She will have to find her way home to Asgard & eat the golden apples to save her baby's life. The only problem is since she destroyed the rainbow bridge, getting there will be tricky. So she gets the help of a giant that had assured Gunora he could get her there and after Kyra gave him a large sum of gold, he did get her there. When she arrived she got permission to eat the apples & then her aunt Dana arrested her for destroying the bridge. That didn't last long because the king had just died and his last wish was for Kyra to become queen. Now she had to battle her aunt for the crown as well as find a tear in the veil & stop a huge hoard of droughs that had come through. Kyra knew her aunt was responsible and now she just had to prove it.

Wow! Her Aunt Really Hates Her

I love this Series, but that said this part of her life is so filled with trouble! I love her fortitude and perseverance with everything throw at her. This was more of heartfelt battles then the usual liteheahrted reveal of new critters. Narrator does a Great job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.
