Clara Bean, the red-headed nurse, is getting the Christmas tree up early in the winter of 1972 while the Castlereagh residents have strange deaths to investigate.
Sleigh bells are ringing and Christmas albums are playing, but Abbey and her friends are occupied with an eighteenth century case about a woman found in an open grave.
Meanwhile, a park in the village of Wyntringham is being named after a young man who went missing decades earlier and Felix wants to know what happened to him. Little do they know how complicated things are about to get!
Chaos is part of their every day lives, but while Abbey's movie star husband returns to doing films, she is affronted by three of her deceased friends who are trying to guide her to take a charitable action. Nothing is ever as it seems in Castlereagh, and while fighting the winter blues by traveling back in time, they find themselves shocked at the truth.
