Gripping Story and Theatrical Narration
The story had me in a BIND. The story was woven together with enough clear details and mysterious events that it really gave the whole “puzzle pieces are coming together” feel. The narrator also did a superb job and gave it a kind of graphic audio feel. Voices were unique, she used different tempos and volumes to really suck you into the scene. Overall, a fantastic listen :)

Main Character Energy
This one has a lot of solid element: Parental abandonment, POC main character, Don't Ask, Don't Tell mentality, interesting side characters and well described scenes/events. I, personally, love a main character who, by all accounts, does *not* want to be wherever they are. Pauses between chapters are kind of long, so if you have headphones in, don't panic, it hasn't cut out or off. 9/10

Kept me at the edge of my seat!
It's an incredible story. Not your standard "haunted house" kind of story. It leaves you wanting more and more. I highly recommend it.

the story itself was good, a little formulaic, but atmospheric and creepy. not a huge fan of the narrator, but she didn't detect from the story. good haunted house tale.

The story was great
I enjoyed the story. That was the only reason I stuck to the end but for me the performance was a bit over acted in parts. Margot sounded way too strangled way too many times. I’m sure a lot of people may prefer this kind of super performance I guess. For me it was a bit too much and exhausting in some parts.
I’m glad I finished it tho.

Horrifying and Morbid...
Darcy Coates strikes again with likeable characters, vivid emotions and gruesome details. World building (specifically the history of the winery) was painted in such color that I could taste it as if it were a glass of wine itself.
