About this listen

Age is just a number, and whoever said that full-figured women don't know how to bring fire to a relationship was sadly mistaken.

Carl Weber brings together two popular Urban Audiobooks divas to give listeners what they've been asking for: passionate, empowering stories about the lives and loves of big, beautiful women.

Newly divorced 40-year-old Desa Rae finds herself alone now that her son has gone away to college. She's taken to her bed, watching life pass her by - until Roc, a 24-year-old with a jaw-dropping body comes along. Desa Rae can't keep her eyes open or legs closed to a man who excites her like no other man has. But can she really be serious about a man who is almost the same age as her son?

Avery Belmont is a diva in her own right. Smart, sassy, and successful, she has always had it going on; so much so that not only did the full-figured beauty catch the eye of Duke, the sexiest dude on the block, but she encouraged him to leave the dope game and become legit. Now, seven years later, Avery is working hard and trying to move ahead, but it seems that Duke isn't feeling the same way. Working with Kurt, her attractive coworker, isn't helping her situation. Is the love between Avery and Duke strong enough to keep them together, or will the strength of that love make them realize it's time to let go?

I loved both stories very much. My only issue was with the second story by La Jill Hunt it just feels unfinished. Yes in the epilogue we find out Avery moved but I wanted to know what happened more so with Demi. As readers we should have gotten another chapter detailing Avery attacking Demi once her memory came back, the fallout at work, Demi losing her position, legal action and maybe even Tabitha apologizing for acting like a huge jerk and Avery deciding to leave Duke and buy her own place. That would have been a perfect segway into the epilogue and I would have given 5 stars. Otherwise this was a great read.

Yes Indeed!!!

This was good. The only thing was on the first one, it left you wondering what would happen next. I’m sure it was intended to leave you hanging, but still...

Good listen

The first book started well; however, as it got to the end, the reality wasn't there. Who will go back to a dangerous area, risk losing their life with a new baby and begin to throw money around. If you didn't want the money leave it there until he gets out of jail. I was distraught by the ending of the first book. The second book was great throughout.

Started out great

I thought this was a book of short stories but it's not. The first story was long and redundant and the fact that the main character kept going back to a man that was so disrespectful in SO MANY ways was stomach churning. And then the ending left the reading with so many questions, None of their core issues had been addressed. How he got out of jail so early was undressed. I listened, shaking my head in disgust for most of the story. It was basically the story of a woman who became dick-matized and tolerated far more than she should had because of the D. It left a lot to be desired. That story got zero stars, not to mention the first story took up 8 of the 10 reading hours of the book. The last short story, however better than the first, was just ok. I do feel it would've be the perfect start to its own full book. I can't get those first 8 hours back smh.

A bit lackluster...
