Ein Fotoauftrag für eine Hochzeit am Meer – was kann es Besseres geben? Die Hochzeitsfotografin Hanne bucht direkt ein paar Tage mehr in der Pension »Kluntjes« auf der Insel Vesbö. Die perfekte Gelegenheit, ihrem chaotischen Leben in Hamburg zu entfliehen und stattdessen etwas Meeresluft zu schnuppern. Dann platzt der Auftrag in letzter Minute: die Hochzeit findet zwar statt, aber ohne sie und ihre Kamera. Hanne fährt trotzdem auf die Nordseeinsel. Auf dem Weg dorthin trifft sie den gutaussehenden, aber recht abweisenden Bruder der Braut.
Ihre Gastgeberin Inga lebt schon immer auf Vesbö. Als Pilotin zeigt sie Touristen normalerweise die Insel von oben. Doch dann muss sie kurzfristig die Pension ihres Vaters übernehmen, das "Kluntjes". Bei der anstehenden Hochzeit ist sie für die Bewirtung zuständig, aber dabei geht etwas gehörig schief – zum Glück hat Hanne eine Idee...
