I enjoyed her first book “Pioneer Women: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels- A Love Story” so much that i was thrilled when she came out with a second one. It did not disappoint.

update: I listened to this in one day (release day) 😂😂 I just cried laughing over that donut story 😂😂😂😂😂

okay, the first time I listened to "black heels to tractor wheels" it was on a library loan and I literally renewed my loan 13 times before finally buying it in hard copy and audiobook. I completely got carried away in the story and you could literally fall in love right along with her. it made me so happy. I can totally relate to Ree from her young years (I'm 25). in fact, a handsome cowboy of my own came into my life after I listened to that book. I guess you could say that although I'm not putting Ree on a pedestal and I know she's only human, it helps me to believe in love again and to have an optimistic attitude and to know what really could happen. again, I'm not making her a false idol and I bet she has flaws and problems just like anyone else but I have to say the first book was really touching and impactful.


I am so excited to listen to the second book. I love to hear about her experiences because since I grew up in a broken home with absolutely no examples of motherhood or love in general, these books are really nice and helpful to steer me in the right direction.


I'm so grateful she's written these books and they are wonderfully written. I listened to Black Heels to Tractor Wheels literally 20 times.
