About this listen

Dear diary,

Once upon a time...there was a girl with long, golden hair who had the truest, bluest eyes that turned white when she cried.

She lived in a kingdom far, far away in a tower made of stone, but her mind was made of glass that she kept sharp as knives.

Where her memories hid behind her darkest doubts. Her deepest thoughts. Her diary became the only thing she could rely on.

No one saw through her looking glass. No one cared. No one tried.

Until the villain presented himself as the hero in her life. He took and took and took some more.

With no regret. With no shame. With no apology.

The page never turned. Their story didn’t end. Tomorrow never came. His life of debauchery was their journey to nowhere.

She’d give anything to go back in time. To walk where she had walked. To see what she had seen. One step. One breath. One day at a time. Though in the end, “I love you” were just words.

That destroyed us inside.

Singing lessons

loved the book, Cash's narrator shouldn't try to sing, but I'm in love. I love the book and BOTH narrators. All of you did a great job and I cant wait to read the next book! It's definitely the next book on my list!

I listed to the audiobook

This book was fantastic. Spellbinding would be the best word. Having said that…the male actor’s singing was atrocious. He was constantly off key and mainly making up his own notes. There is no way a man with a singing voice like that would be signed to any record label!!

Real life

I loved the fact that the male character had real flaws and the female leads are strong women, not damsels in destress. excited to listen to the second book.

So heart-rending!

Journey was just a child when she fell in love with 18-year-old Cash. He was there from the beginning, babysitting, changing her diapers and promising friendship with a pinky swear. Cash was destined for greatness as a rockstar, but his father blocked him every way possible. Cash left without a word, and broke ties with everyone back home. His best friend, Harleigh, tried to call him whenever she could. Now, at 30, he's facing a crisis of character by turning to the evils of an out of control rockstar life. Now all grown up and beautiful, Junie comes back into his life and offers a spark to help him live again. This was a painful story that changed so many lives, especially Cash's, as he suffers for his mistakes and faces a bleak future. The only light in his world is his Journey, but is she too late to save him.
The narration was beautifully done. The voices fit the characters as they came to life.

loved

It was so good. Just wish the singing was better and the Cash songs were better. Off tune and Off beat. Other than that the story was great

Wowza such emotions

I haven’t cried with a book in a long while. Cash and Journey have caught my heart. And the narrators were exceptional.

Great Story

This story has a great story line, and has great characters. I love the story of young love, and Juneau grows up to love him.

Love the angst!

I love that there was dual narrators! Not your typical rock star romance! I love Cash, he has so many layers.
