Acerca de esta escucha
Why don't Christians in the church today keep the biblical sabbath? Was the observance of the seventh-day sabbath done away with, canceled, changed, replaced, fulfilled, made obsolete, suppressed, hijacked, or simply forgotten? Even if you already know the answers, you'll want to listen to this book. From Sabbath to Sabbath approaches the question of the sabbath from a completely new messianic Jewish perspective.
Discover for yourself the beauty, holiness, and blessing of God's day. From Sabbath to Sabbath examines all the pertinent New Testament passages and common objections to sabbath observance, shedding new light on the Bible to reveal the truth about the sabbath and its relevance to disciples of Jesus today. D. Thomas Lancaster introduces the sabbath, its observance, and the story of how the church transitioned from sabbath to Sunday. This theological table-turner is a fun and inspiring journey into the world of the Bible. For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make shall remain before me, says the Lord, so shall your offspring and your name remain and from sabbath to sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, declares the Lord. (Isaiah 66:2223).

Prayer is simply talking with God. Nonetheless, the grown men who followed Jesus felt as if they had something yet to learn. As true disciples, they wanted to pray just as their Rabbi did. In ancient Judaism, disciples sought not only to learn their master's teachings and interpretations; they endeavored to imitate their rabbi in every detail. Rabbi Yeshua taught, A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher (Luke 6:40). What does prayer look like in a Jewish context? How did Jesus pray?

Yeshua Matters is the story of a pastor who discovers that Jesus Christ was not just a Jewish person, but a practicing Jew, a teacher of Judaism - a rabbi, known during his earthly ministry as Rabbi Yeshua of Nazareth. Yet despite this emerging scholarly consensus, Jesus has lost his Jewishness in the collective heart and mind of the church. We simply don't imagine, interpret, or follow him as a part of the broader tapestry of Jewish life and history.

Historians, scholars, and theologians agree that first-century Christianity was a sect of Judaism, but where does that information place first-century Gentile Christians? What did it mean to be a Gentile who practiced Judaism in the days of the apostles? These are not just academic questions; they are at the heart of today's growing Messianic Jewish movement. How do non-Jews engage in the modern Messianic Jewish revival?

The Epistle of James says that anyone who considers him - or herself to be religious yet does not tame his tongue is self deceived. James says that such a person's religion is worthless. On the other hand, James refers to the person who tames his or her tongue as a perfect person. That's a stark contrast. There's a big difference between being a self-deceived person engaging in worthless religious practice, and being perfect or complete. If we take these words of the Bible seriously, we need to start taking our own words far more seriously then we normally do.

This is a book for men, specifically followers of Jesus and especially if they are married men who are finding marriage to be perplexing and more difficult than they expected. This is a book about how God's instructions in the Bible can make a man's marriage better. Before getting married, most men think that marriage will be easy. The man assumes that if he finds the right woman, he will be an excellent husband. She will love him; he will love her.

Understanding Judaism—and the way in which Judaism and Christianity became separate religions—is essential for a rich and holistic Christian identity. As a follower of Jesus who was raised in a Jewish home and who continues to live a Jewish life, Jennifer Rosner has seen firsthand how a Christian faith can become impoverished when divorced from its Jewish roots. Finding Messiah follows Rosner's own journey in rediscovering the role of Judaism and God's covenant with Israel in Christian life and practice.

Doing so will provide a richer, deeper understanding of his ministry, compelling us to live differently, to become more Christ-like. We'll begin to understand why his first Jewish disciples abandoned everything to follow him, to live out his commands.

The Jewish Gospel of John is not, by any standard, another book on Jesus of Nazareth written from a Jewish perspective. It is an invitation to the listener to put aside their traditional understanding of the Gospel of John and to replace it with another one more faithful to the original text perspective. The Jesus that will emerge will provoke you to rethink most of what you knew about this gospel.

Contemporary evangelicals have built a 'salvation culture' but not a 'gospel culture.' Evangelicals have reduced the gospel to the message of personal salvation. This book makes a plea for us to recover the old gospel as that which is still new and still fresh. The book stands on four arguments: that the gospel is defined by the apostles in 1 Corinthians 15 as the completion of the Story of Israel in the saving Story of Jesus; that the gospel is found in the Four Gospels; that the gospel was preached by Jesus; and that the sermons in the Book of Acts are the best example of gospeling in the New Testament.

Historia
Walton and Walton offer in The Lost World of the Torah a restorative vision of the ancient genre of instruction for wisdom that makes up a significant portion of the Old Testament. In the ancient Near East, order was achieved through the wisdom of those who governed society. The objective of torah was to teach the Israelites to be wise about the kind of order needed to receive the blessings of God's favor and presence within the context of the covenant. Here listeners will find fresh insight on this fundamental genre of the Old Testament canon.

Sinai to Zion is an exciting study of how the Bible uses the Exodus story as the basis for its vision concerning the glorious and triumphant return of Jesus the Messiah. For the first time, this book presents a thorough examination of many often overlooked, yet critically important Old Testament texts that the Old Testament prophets and the New Testament authors looked to as describing the return of Jesus.

From Sabbath to Sabbath
Great reading pace. Info clear and historical clearly explained. We are one new people in our trust and faith in our leaders (Jesus,Yeshua), words to simply pray the way for life here on earth. Each of us are now created as not boys and girls from the womb , we are one spirit and when we take it easy on Saturday or a day which we arrive at during our learning to do so. As a gentile on earth i have taken our U.S.A calendar Saturdays and scheduled it for rest, keeping it Holy. If you work, then do so with honor, be patient, wait for things to fall in place, remember we were out in our position before the foundations of the world. Take care of the needy, orphaned spirits our
loved one's that give us hard time. Just serve be thankful for your health and the peace we have in trusting our Father and Messiah and learning this from the Holy Spirit.
Remember Trust and Faith are what make change for the better day's ahead in this life that's ticking away. Bring Holy is reading or hearing holy scripture on audiobooks, also getting rest, block out the electronic chatter, do this and see for yourselves. And then share it the lost all around you.

Gentile in pursuit of Sabbath clarity!!!
As a Gentile I have been infused with the teachings of grace to the extent that things and such that pertain to the “law” are unnecessary and ridiculous to adopt (namely the Sabbath and Jewish Festivals).
Having been introduced to FFOZ and the book, RESTORATION, my understanding of the Bible has been radically revised! Jesus and the Kingdom mean so much more to me now than ever before!!! Learning to rest in Christ is my delight!
I certainly don’t have it all together more do I fully understand how my life will look in the future as I apply the truths of this book. But, one thing I know for sure…. my life will be more in step with my Master than it would have been without knowing what I know now.
Shabbat Shalom to all who do HIS will!

Must read for all students of Jesus
Acquired a greater appreciation for Jesus legal and ethical arguments with his contemporaries regarding how to best obey God. Traditional and modern Christianity's disdain for its Jewish roots has become so tiresome and is antithetical to everything Jesus ever said, so I appreciated this book actually accounted for historical context of the gospel and epistolic literature. Keep em coming, FFOZ. Ruth 1:16
