Unique Novella

I love this novella. It has a different path than the usual science fiction I have read. My only qualms are that this world she has created some 400 years hence will still have Twitter, Facebook and Google and is bringing the whole story down. She could have made up some really neat communication that she would reference that was highly superior to the dinosaurs of social media of turn of century. Otherwise, a great writer.
I could see this written as a novel or potential series if well thought out
