About this listen

Noa was trampled and nearly killed by hundreds of horny female fans at a concert of a band she didn't even like, but Alden, the bad boy lead singer of the band, saved her from the trampling tramps. Alden is used to getting what he wants, especially women, but Noa can't stand the cocky, pelvic-thrusting rock star.

Noa reluctantly becomes friends with the rocker, under one condition: He promises not to try to have sex with her. But he didn't promise that he wouldn't do other things. Alden's musically talented fingers are capable of playing more than just a guitar....

Reluctantly Noa goes on a fundraising music tour with Alden's band, Friction. She soon begins to realize there is more to the rocker than sex, music, and his arrogance. But by spending time with one of the biggest superstars in the world, Noa finds herself in the spotlight, illuminating secrets she thought were hidden forever.

Dull story

The storyline was sooo boring! The characters had no personality and were not interesting. I was not able to finish the book because I was afraid that my eyes would stay stuck up for all the times I rolled them listening. I asked to have my credit back.

Samantha Prescott did a great job

So I read the other reviews and I do have to agree with the ones that said the the heroine is annoying.
Otherwise it would have been a great story and Samantha Prescott did a great job with the story she was working with. Sadly the reason I picked this is because Teddy Hamilton and Christian Fox are two of my favorites and they might have had a total of 5 minutes in the whole audio book. 😢

I wasn't sure I could get behind a book with a rockstar named Alden- but in the end, I'm an Alden fan!!

Alden. Really? Wasn't sure if that name could represent a hot alpha rocker, but whew, now I'm thinking all bands should rename their lead singer Alden. He was definitely hot and all alpha. He also had a soft side and made me laugh quite a few times. I loved Noa as a heroine because she didn't cave to Alden's every whim. There was more to the story than just the budding romance that added to my enjoyment of the story.
The narration was solid and I don't recall any detractions or annoyances from the narrators. Note that most of this story is narrated from the female POV.

Whew!!!!

This is one that kept me listening !!! So much drama and edge of your seat..."what's going to happen next?" I really enjoyed it - it was a different type of rock star book but it was really good! I thought the narrators did an excellent job! Worth the credit!

one of the best books I've read this year

Loved Alden and his little Noah. And this audio was hot! Great emotions portrayed. I teared up at one point because I felt the emotion in her voice.
This author was new to me but this book was so well written she is now a one click for me. So much angst and drama. Just what I expect from a dirty rocker. If you havent read or listened to Friction yet, you really need to. Fantastic!!!

Great Story. Great narration

This was my first read by Author L.D. Davis. I found this book on audible and decided to give it a try.
This was a great story!! The characters were amazing and the plot was unique.
I loved the chemistry between Noa and Alden. It was that slow delicious burn with a mixture of cat and mouse.
Alden is the lead singer of a rock band and wears the title perfectly!
He's cocky, arrogant, and too sexy for his own good.
When Noa is trampled at Alden's concert the last things she expects is to have the hip thruster himself come to her rescue but he does and after that she just can't seem to shake him.

I listened to this on audiobook and the narration was great!!
I found this book because I was actually searching for Narrator Teddy Hamilton who appears in the book towards the end.

Samantha Prescott is the female narrator and was AWESOME!!

I tend to steer away from single POV narration because I love hearing a male and female POV. However, the female narrator really did a FANTASTIC job.
She kept me intrigued from the beginning until the end! Female narrator tells about 90% of the story.

Definitely Recommend

i liked the story but that woman was so unfair and completely cold and calais in her decision making it seemed so undealistic that any human with a soul could a t so harshly. i hated her character.

1st book by this Author; and it won't be the last!

A very broken heroine trying to put herself back together and an arrogant, badboy rock star, what more could you want? The way the author brings the story together and ties things up is great. Samantha Prescott did such a good job in the narration that I truly felt sorry for the characters, especially Noa as she tried to deny herself any happiness in an effort to prevent herself from being hurt. This book has a roller coaster of emotions. I found myself talking back to the characters trying to get them to communicate. Three narrators had me thrown for a while, but, well, you will figure it out when you listen.

Creditworthy? Absolutely, I wonder, will be more for Friction?

THIS LISTEN WAS FUN, HOT, ANGSTY.. & SO WORTH A CREDIT

Noa was dragged to a Friction Concert by her best friend and they got a front row position but she wasn't happy about it - she hated everything the cocky, arrogant, obnoxious, conceited, pelvis thrusting manwhore of a Lead Singer did. Alden Breck is talented, world famous, drool-worthy, sexy, a self-confessed slut... and he's proud of who and what he is - but, as he's giving it his all on stage there's a beautiful woman who isn't looking up at him adoringly, isn't screaming his name, isn't shouting for him to f... her... and is actually looking bored, fed-up and annoyed. So of course the challenge is on - but before he can make his move all Hell breaks loose and Alden ends up saving her life... however, rather than being grateful, Noa lets her feelings fly... and she doesn't hold back her tyrade of verbal abuse at the prancing peacock. And for Alden this fiery feisty hellcat brought out emotions he thought he'd never ever feel but Noa wasn't remotely attracted to the arrogant Rock God.... so the battle commenced.

Noa began to realize that there was much more to Alden Breck than his looks - he was kind, caring, thoughtful, they had bad childhoods in common, they had similar values... and before long Alden was showing up unannounced, showing Noa just what he could do with his oh so talented (and skilful) hands and showing Noa just how much he cared. So their tentative push/pull friendship had some cease-fire moments where Alden opened up to Noa and showed her his vulnerable side. However, it didn't stop the humorous jibes, the quick witted banter and the building sexual chemistry that flowed between them... so now it's not a case of maybe - instead it's a case of when? But just as things were starting to work out for them... someone from Noa's past comes back to cause major trouble in the most catastrophic way... and it wasn't just trust that was broken - it was two hearts too.

I couldn't help but fall a little bit in love with Alden myself... he was loveable and everything you'd want from a sexy Rocker and his character changed from being a cocky horny bad boy and developed into a mature and caring partner. Noa's angsty attitude mellowed too as she conquered demons from her past, overcame self doubt, faced her flaws, found the love of her life... and changed hers and Alden's futures forever. Told mostly from Noa's POV but there were a couple of chapters from Alden's POV and also someone else's twisted thoughts too. So almost all of the narration was done by Samantha Prescott and she did a good job.... but I would have loved to hear more from Alden's POV by the male narrators.

Worth a credit? It's a very entertaining rocker romance with drama, angst and plenty of sex. Alden was a duche bag but he had a huge loveable heart and openly expressed his feelings - Noa was damaged but a survivor and together they made a great couple.... and a very enjoyable romance. And the Epilogue was sigh-worthy. Yes, IMO, it's definately worth a credit.
