About this listen

This is the final part of Alexa Polidoro's famous French For Beginners course.

After many years of developing and harnessing her language-teaching skills with The French Ecole and Lingomania, Alexa has now created an audio treat for people who wish to learn a new language from scratch, without any pressure, in fun, relaxed and manageable chunks.

Highlights of the lessons 22-30: more useful vocabulary, sounds and accents, interviews, poems, the different types of adverbs, imperfect tense, comparatives and superlatives, possessive pronouns, Idioms, the future tense, direct and indirect object pronouns, the conditional, and a whole lot more.

Excellent

The lessons are presented in a wonderfully crisp and clear manner which at the same time manages to be intriguing and fun. Alexa anticipates your questions and answers them before they have even had a chance to form fully in your head. Her approach is very well-thought out and intuitive. I highly recommend this set of lessons (and all the other lessons, which I've listened to as podcasts). It makes French, a very daunting language, much more accessible.

Bravo Alexa! C'etait Genial!

If i had such a good teacher in school, French would have become much easier years ago.

As Alexa keeps saying, French can definately be a nasty languague.
Must say, i studied French in school and tried to refresh my memory by listening to these podcasts, and Alexa somehow manages to make gramatic rules i have struggled with in the past so much clearer simpler, and sometimes amusing.
The courses are thourough and gradual. She doesn't leave a stone unturned. The support sheets are very useful.
The 3rd part of the Beginners level ends with the best explanation i ever got for the "conditionnel" tense.
I am now listening to the intermediate level course which is also brilliant.

I highly recommend these courses. Complete beginners would probably need to use the support sheets more often, but those who studied French in the past would just need to take a look as a revision, or after completing several lessons.

Alexa Does it!

I've listened to her free podcasts, her Easy French Poetry podcast, and many other French learning programs for the past several years, but Alexa has given me some of my most enduring lessons in the language, and I always appreciate that I can relate to her as a real, charming woman, not some voice over actor from an industrial film. I only want more, Alexa, more! Her lessons work.
