About this listen

The only kinds of luck I knew were bad and worse...until my life hung in the balance. I finally caught a break in the form of a second chance.

I vowed not to let it go to waste.

To make a difference.

But I didn’t start really living until I met him.

Dillon Montgomery.

My complete opposite - except for our matching tortured souls.

I couldn’t resist him for long.

How could I when his smallest touch made my heart race?

When it felt like we were destined to be together?

But sometimes luck and sorrow are intertwined....

Fortuity is the first part of Faith and Dillon’s story, which will be completed in Serenity.

A lovely read!

Sometimes luck and sorrow are intertwined....

Oh wow...this book had my attention and kept my attention from start to end. I was so sad when it ended but I immediatley realised I had book 2 which I then started immediately.

Captivating, breathless, emotional and wonderful.

The narrators were oh so amazing and emotional. Fantastic listen!

🎧 Reviewed for Audiobook Obsession 🎧

I have heard it said, If it wasn’t for bad luck I’d have no luck at all. That’s how Faiths life is going till it’s not. Second lease on life, an education, paying forward and a man. All is well till Faith decides she needs the answer to a question. Know we come to the buts the if’s and a dreaded cliffhanger. But this story is worth the wait.
Mackenzie & Jason did a fantastic job narrating this story.

Beautiful Story!

This was my first Rochelle Paige's book, and won't be my last! This is the first book in the Fortuity Duet. Wow! I loved it! Faith and Dillon are beautiful characters. They share an instant attraction/love. Their story is sweet, emotional, and beautiful. Dillon's parent are wonderful. Mackenzie Cartwright and Jason Clarke did an amazing job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Duet, Serenity. #AudiobookObsession

Just Wow!!!

What a great story about overcoming difficult obstacles/ circumstances to find love and achieve all your goals. Faith is such a strong woman. I can't help but like and admire her. She came up through the "system" and dedicated the rest of her life to helping other children like her. Dillon is working through his own issues from a personal tragedy The two meet and fall in love on to discover that they are connected by far more then what they thought. This is a duel narration. Both narrators do an excellent job with this story and characters. I can't wait to read part 2. #Audio Obsession Reviewer..

Mostly uplifting

I really enjoyed the way this story was told, letting us slowly get to know Faith and root for her to overcome all the issues life threw at her. Dillion ended up being completely different from what I imagined based on his introduction, and I love how supportive and protective of Faith he is. I thought I had a good idea where the story was going, but then it took a detour and by the end left me wondering what exactly happened. Guess it’s time to start Serenity and get some answers. Lol

Great Duet!

This is the first book I've read/listened to by Rochelle Paige. I was so glad I had a long ride scheduled so I could listen to both books, one right after the other. I never wanted to pause the audio since I was so tuned into the story. What a great duet!

I loved the characters, and the twists, wondering if I'm guessing the outcome correctly. This duet is one of my favorites of 2020 so far.

This book was emotional. It reached into my heart and squeezed. The characters came from two totally different backgrounds, but they could relate to one another so easily. I loved the non-drama of the "class" difference of the two.

One could stop at the end of this book, but I have NO idea why one would want to do so. Part two is a must read/listen.

Jason Clarke and Mackenzie Cartwright are EXCELLENT narrators. There voices are so smooth and easy to listen to for long periods of time. They brought this book alive. Great performances.

Strong Female Lead...Can't Wait for Book 2

I went into this book blind and was instantly enamored with the story line of a girl struggling in the foster care system who ends up making it through with the help of a caring social worker and her own dreams of overcoming her past challenges and becoming something.

I really liked Faith from the start. She had a lot of reasons to give up or become jaded with life, but she used her experience in life and her journey to help others and to better herself and to want more. I enjoyed the author's writing style and think the book flowed really well. I liked Elaine a lot, but was not surprised that she wanted to set Faith up with her son. Dillon was not initially instantly likeable, but my impression of him turned around as he spent more time with Faith and opened himself up more and explained more about why he was they way he was.

Fortutiy is book one in a duet so it does end in a cliffhanger, and I did not think the cliffhanger was much of surprise, but I do not think this took away from the story at all. I am very excited to start book two and see where the journey of Faith and Dillon takes me! I think Mackenzie Cartwright and Jason Clarke did a really good job as Faith and Dillon. They are really enjoyable to listen to and I am excited to hear more from them. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Absolutely Loved this!

I was listened to the audio version of this story, it is a duet. so The book 2 is necessary to get the whole story. . Rochelle Paige is a new author for me . Oh this is heartbreaking sad, happy, oh some WoW moments. A book of secrets ,lies, building trust, and a I didnt see that coming moment.. heart wrenching story of how Faith overcomes obstacles as she was growing up. Her mom died of a drug overdose when she was 12. A severe illness while she was in Foster care, almost cost her life. and a miracle gave her a second chance! She made a promise to herself that she would make some good out of her life.
Mackenzie Cartwright and Jason Clarke are excellent storytellers and superb narrators. They emote every Feeling of love, anger, angst, fear, pain, humor and sarcasm of every character in this story. Bringing all the characters to life. Brilliant , I loved listening to it

Very good

I wish this was just one book, but it's very good nevertheless. The heroine is very likeable.
