This author never disappoints!

Another good story. I've listened to everything he has on Audible and always enjoy his stories. Good characters and lots of twists and turns.

Could have been done in 9 hrs or less

My first Eskens book. Looking forward to others. Your basic conflicted ex cop mourning the loss of himself as he thought he was; looking for redemption or resolution, something. But just a bit too much of his self-analysis. It’s like the book couldn’t decide what it wanted to be: police/crime novel or redemption story. Narrator was excellent with just the right balance between protagonist’s inner turmoil and the action and events of the story.
