About this listen

In the latest novel in the number one New York Times best-selling series, homicide detective Eve Dallas sifts through the wreckage of the past to find a killer.

The body was left in a dumpster like so much trash, the victim a woman of no fixed address, known for offering paper flowers in return for spare change - and for keeping the cops informed of any infractions she witnessed on the street. But the notebook where she scribbled her intel on litterers and other such offenders is nowhere to be found.

Then Eve is summoned away to a nearby building site to view more remains - in this case decades old, adorned with gold jewelry and fine clothing - unearthed by recent construction work. She isn’t happy when she realizes that the scene of the crime belongs to her husband, Roarke - not that it should surprise her, since the Irish billionaire owns a good chunk of New York. Now Eve must enter a complex world of real estate development, family history, shady deals, and shocking secrets to find justice for two women whose lives were thrown away....

Forgotten in Death

Holy, wow! I always mention how it’s amazing that this series continues to keep my attention and the author keeps it fresh. This was had me on the edge because it felt a little different and I was waiting for something bad. It was emotional and made me cry several times. I really enjoyed this and can’t wait for the next. I’m actually going to relisten to it immediately. As always the narrator has done a fantastic job. She is one of the best narrators, ever.

Love this series.

Each installment is worth the wait and finished too soon. Every character continues to grow and I enjoy every chapter.

Great story...better than the last book!

The last Dallas book seemed pretty tired with all the immaturity and grumpiness of Eve so I almost didn't get this one, but I'm glad I did. The story was great. There was a whole lot less whining in this book, thankfully. To add a cherry on top, the story line was excellent. I like an easy read that keeps my interest and this certainly did. Dallas still ruminated over a couple of silly things but nothing like the last book where she sometimes sounded like she was living under a rock...and she still had Roark picking out her outfits, but she was less whiny about that too. This was an enormous improvement from the last book.

Excellent Story and Preformance

Really liked this story. JD Robb is an incredible writer. Susan Erickson is Amazing as narrator. I always look forward to this team 's work. Its hard to hear when it ends. I immediately look forward to the next book. I love how the characters grow and evolve through the books. Especially Roake and Eve.

Typically JD Robb

I love the In Death books and this one didn't disappoint. She continues the stories but each could be stand alone. I'm already for the next one.
