About this listen

After serving five years of a 10-year sentence for a crime he didn't commit, coming home to Knot Valley after being vindicated should be alpha Luke Barker's triumph. All he wants is the life he was supposed to have - a thriving farm, a strong family, and a house full of kids. He should have learned by now that nothing is fair, and he'll have to work just as hard to make it on the outside as he did to survive in prison.

The fields are fallow, his house is falling down around his nearly catatonic father, and his ex-boyfriend is somebody else's husband now. But he's not giving up. He'll replant the crops, fix the house, and find an omega of his own. Not in that order, because a man has needs, and his have been denied too long.

Michael, the quirky omega waiter at the diner downtown, could use someone looking out for him, and Luke needs a favor in return. Starting with a baby. This farmer is about to take a husband.

Welcome to Knot Valley, a sleepy small town in Eastern Washington. Forget me Knot is the first in the series about super dominant alphas and quirky omegas finding love and creating families in an alternate universe where mpreg is possible. Some of the books are reimagined from a different series. If you like your MM steamy and endings happy, this hot series will get you right in the feels.

Sweet story, but the lisping…

The lisping is a little too much at times to try to take the actor seriously.

Read before you buy!!!

I enjoyed the storyline of this book. It was hard to listen to though. The narrator of this book made me want to stop listening to the story. I felt like I was forcing myself to push through to the end. I dislike the lisp thing he did for the character Mikael, which he sometimes did for the character Luke. I bought the other audio books in this series, but once I found out that the narrator is the same for all the books I am trying to just return the audio and buy the books. I would rather read them then listen to the narration version.

Betrayal of the story. 🥉BRONZE to Silver
why. He got better each book if listened to at 1.45x.

Horrible narrator

Okay, this narrators portrayal of a man with a lisp is unbearable I hear. It’s honestly offensive to people that have lisps or speech impediments. I usually don’t complain about narrators, however I feel like my ear drums were just violated. Purchase at you own risk of being audio-assaulted.

👍👍s up for book 1.🤗

This book was a very enjoyable listen. I loved the storyline, and also the 2 main characters. With their adveristy, they proved with love, trust, and patience, you will pervail. The author is very talented. The narrator did an awesome job in bringing the characters to life, especially the 🔥🔥 love scenes, the passion he put in it, makes you really feel the love they had for each other.( well it did me)😊If your looking for a good Alpha, Omega, Mprg, book, I recommend you start here. I look forward to listening to book 2, and the complete series, and hope it becomes available to adubile soon.🙂

This is great.

This book took me totally off guard, and I really enjoyed it! The narrator is amazing and voices everything nearly perfectly, including going ham for the different character voices. the story is also really good, even if it's a bit too cheesy in some places, and I wished it was longer. Looking forward to listen to listening to the following books by this author.

Luke and Michael

A sweet short story about two unlikely characters coming together to make a family. This is a different Omegaverse world then I've read about where aliens cause a change in DNA to make alphas and omegas, where male omegas can have babies. I would have loved more world building.
Narrator David Seager does a wonderful job.

The narration made me cringe

I liked the story. It was obviously a M/F book changed to a M/M story. But it was still cute. The narrator had a horrible lisp and made it really hard to enjoy the story.

enjoyed the story

Would I listen to it again: i'm honestly not sure
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
What did I like about the story? good pace and interesting characters. There is quite a lot crammed into a story that is less than 3 hours long. Michael and Luke's relationship developed faster than I would have liked and I would have liked a little more character development. That being said, once I found the head space to run with a book that basically appeared to consist of short bursts of "periods of time" or "events that were happening" I enjoyed it.

Narrator comment: I'm a bit on the fence with the narration. David Seager gave each character his own voice, there was plenty of emotions and the book was bought to life. His character voices though, were a little inconsistent and I'm just not convinced the voice he gave Michael did the character justice (I think he was going for cute quirky nerd, but it just didn't work) and sometimes his Luke sounded just creepy .

Second Chances

I really enjoyed this book. Michael and Luke stole my heart! I love that they were both given a second chance and were able to move forward from their pasts. I really enjoyed the narration as well. I feel like David did a great job capturing the different personalities between Michael, Luke, Luke's father and the restaurant owner. Overall great start to this series, I can't wait to listen to the others.
