YES-YES-YES--getting better with each book!

Our Bailey is growing, no longer able to age, the strength to take down dragons. With her humanity intact, a heart that is only growing, and most importantly--the brains to use it all well.

This time Bailey is a fully trained Dragon Killer and is known as such. In this story she is forced to follow the path of a prophecy, which guides her, and a chosen few, on a dangerous quest. This dangerous trek will reveal secrets, (which must be offered), trust in others, (which will be tested), and magic, (to be overcome). It becomes a race they are all on to save this newly transformed world, from being turned into a hell on earth.

Again thank you both--Susan Illene, and Marguerite Gavin. I can't wait for the next novel.

Good book

Very entertaining definitely can’t wait to the next chapter. Very interesting. Hope the next one has a great conclusion.

A classic quest

Damn, this book has left me restless.


Forged by Flames is a classic quest which was a nice transition book after the previous story arc ended.

Bailey, Aidan, Conrad, Miles, Danae, and Aidan's uncle and sister are travelling together to different parts of the US to reassemble a magical orb which can control dragon shifters, dragon slayers, and magic users. They have to go through a few trials, and in the process learn important things about their history and mutual origins.


You see, this part was really fascinating to me, and I wanted to know more.


I also loved Aidan's change of heart about his relationship with Bailey and their mutual character growth. Really nicely done!


Conrad was a sweetheart continuously providing comic relief but we also found out an intriguing backstory to Aidan's sister and Miles & Danae.


At the same time, the plot in parts lost focus, and I didn't feel like some storylines were wrapped up successfully. The witch or Aidan's brother, for example.


Saying all that, it was a pleasant, smooth read, and I'm looking forward to this series expanding its world-building in the future. Recommended.

Disappointing

Wake premises based on illogical actions of protagonist. Many many plot holes. And the standard over the top lust for always over the top, strong male abusive types. Somehow justified because the female protagonist is strong too.
