This new series is not going where I expected - cliffhangers and wow! Interesting new direction

So Good!!

Love this series, and love J R Ward! I can’t wait for the next one. I want Daniel to be cured. I want Gus and Cathy to be a couple….fingers crossed. I want Blade to mend his relationship with Hex and to find a love of his own. This was soooooo good!!!!

I hate spending 3 credits to get the whole story . . .

Otherwise, it was good. You definitely need to read the first book before this one, and know that the story doesn’t end here.

Not the best

It was a struggle to complete. JR Ward needs to focus more. I'm willing to wait for a good book. This was meh.

Very nice storyline and a great buildup of characters! I just can’t wait for book three!

love JR Ward books! I love how it intersects with BDB series as this one has John, Hex, Rev and Hex's brother.

Consistent and Entertaining

First of all I couldn’t imagine reading a j r ward Black Dagger Brotherhood and off shoot story without Jim Frangione narrating. Also was happy to hear him do Iger’s The Ride of a Lifetime.
As for the story itself, while I admit that there were a lot of separate storylines going on, relevant to the main thread or not, the story on the whole was entertaining
I had already read Mine some time ago but decided to read it again. Thanks!

Lair of the Wolves Book 2

I was left kind of feeling unfulfilled. Don't get me wrong -- it was enjoyable enough to listen to since Jim Frangione is an A+++++ narrator who I could listen to all day. I also love the main characters, Daniel and Lydia. And if you read or listened to book 1, you know Lydia is one of the wolven. But there are other things going on, and I kept waiting for the why of the stories or for something climactic to happen, but it didn't. The book ends on a cliffhanger, but it isn't about Daniel and Lydia. So I guess there will be a book 3, and I'll have to read or listen to that when it comes out.

Can’t wait for next book in this series. James Frangeon is excellent reader. When I see a book with him as reader am always going to listen as he adds a great voice to a smooth story.
