About this listen

"Trust me. Actually. Don't."

Sabine Nevemone has just moved to the small quaint town of Gloomvale to start a new life after being dumped by narcissistic boyfriend Oliver Rein.

Sabine has landed herself a job at Bad Brews coffeehouse, where she is working for the handsome rogue Tristan Roseblood, a mysterious handsome devilish vampire who always gets what he desires. At first, Sabine could not believe her luck that she’s gotten a job so fast, but things in Gloomvale aren't all they seem. Tristan is a powerful man, and he knows it.

Sabine is reluctant to comply when Tristan forces her to come on an errand with him, which almost results in both her and Tristan getting killed because an old enemy catches up with Tristan. Tristan patches Sabine up, telling her she’s in a very dangerous world, and it would be best if she got out of town for her own sake. Sabine refuses to leave. This proves to be a fatal mistake on her part.

“You can’t get close to me. Get out while you can. I’m not a good match for a sweet thing like you. Trust me. Actually, don’t.” He warns her.

The only trouble is now Sabine is in too deep. She’s falling for him. Hard. But when Tristan rebuffs Sabine, and she falls straight into his mysterious brother Laurence’s arms, it can only spell disaster for all concerned. Sabine then gets herself in real trouble when she's bitten on her way home. Will Tristan find her in time, or will she die alone?

USA Today best-selling author Isra Sravenheart brings us into the intense world of Tristan Roseblood. A vampire with a dark past, only trouble is when Sabine stumbles into it, she, too, becomes entwined in his chaos. A paranormal romance jam-packed with suspense and intrigue and two charming vampires to boot.

This is a good story

This is a good story but the narration is a little drab and doesn’t really bring the story out but the story is interesting enough

Ok

The story was good. The lack of vividness at some scenes is why I gave this four stars, adding in the fact that there were some inconsistencies I didn't care for. The abrupt ending was also kind of weird. The story overall was good though.

Vampires and a witch.

I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin.
I had a very hard time concentrating on this book. I think it was the narrator. He wasn't exactly monotone, but almost. He didn't bring any personality to any of these characters. 2 stars for him.
I really liked the plot and characters. I tried hard to figure them out. I actually listened to this book twice because I knew I could enjoy it. I'm still not fully satisfied. I'd recommend you pass on the audio version and read it yourself. 4 stars for the book.

Intriguing

Absolutely fantastic. A witch and a vampire, what a combination. Danger all around and perhaps romance. Superb Narrator

Good Read

I enjoyed following Sabine’s journey as she starts over in a new town after she lose everything in her old life after her ex reveals she is a witch. She meets Tristan who is her new boss but will become something more soon. Tristan is a moody vampire who can be jerk at times. But Sabine and Tristan journey has twist and turns but the ending is good. I can’t wait to see how the rest of this series turns out.

The characters are amazing. And Isra Sravenheart does wonderful job with plot but sometimes it did seem rushed. Ken Solin does an incredible job with narrating the story. He brings the characters to life. I definitely recommend this audiobook.

Not really for me

It was the storyline and the narration. They don’t fit together and I also believe they don’t do well separately either.

I didn’t really get the point of the story.
Narration was dull and no feeling came across whilst he was speaking.

Just a no go sorry team.
