"Don’t you agree, Detective? That some people deserve to die? I’ve killed the first. I’ve killed the second. Now will you catch the others, or do I have to kill them, too?"

The body of Amos Price lies in a pool of blood on the polished floor of an otherwise empty house. With no signs of a break in and no clues left at the scene, Detective Jenna Alton is at a loss. But as the team begins to unpick the life of the reclusive victim, they discover a disturbing link between Amos and the disappearance of several young girls in the county going back years.

Days later, another brutally murdered body is found in a remote motel on the outskirts of town. Ely Dorsey was killed in a frenzied attack, and Jenna fears not only that the murders are connected to the missing girls, but that the killer hasn’t finished yet.

As Jenna tries to work out who will be next, the killer suddenly starts sending her deputy, David Kane, messages. Is she being taunted? Or does the murderer want to be caught? And will Jenna discover who’s behind these killings before more people die?

An absolutely nail-biting thriller with plenty of twists, Follow Me Home is perfect for fans of Robert Dugoni, Karin Slaughter, and Rachel Abbott.

I'm hooked on these! I'm always so drawn to the story but this time, the narrator really drove me nuts with the mispronounced words: pee-dophile. NO. That is not how one pronounces that word. Corral was another. There were others as well. I was trying to sort out if the issue was a dialect issue but I couldn't pick it up...very distracting!

Authors have a difficult time with the overuse of words and phrases. I know Lois Duncan discussed it in several interviews. This author uses the phrases, "Hair on the back of her (his) neck..." the use of the word bile and turkey neck. There are crossovers in the other books but in this particular book, I noticed these words and phrases often. For ALL of us, we have words and phrases that we use and become a part of our Lexicon...just ask your kids what they are! I would imagine it's the same with an author but instead, it's noticeable by their reader or in this case, listener.

I am enjoying the series a lot and those nuances are not bothersome enough to keep me from enjoying the books.

I haven't read a series in quite a while that I looked so forward to reading.

One thing I enjoyed with this book was that the perpetrator, or, one of them, was female! Finally!

The narrator...YOW! Great story!

So far I’ve enjoyed all stories in this series. The narrator was not a good fit for this story. Peeedafile? The voice changes she used and pronunciation of words was very distracting.

Great Story w/ Terrible Narrator

Would be much better with a better narrator. It’s a good book but at times the narration takes away from it.

This story was gripping until the end! Be warned that the gruesome killings are not for the faint of heart. The ending leaves you wanting more. This narrator did an excellent job with all of the characters. I highly recommend this book!

This is the best of the series so far!

Loved the story and also liked trying to figure out who the murderer was (Usually the person you'd least suspect - Ha!). DK Hood is an excellent mystery writer. The narrator is a true actress and did a great job in my opinion. I have enjoyed listening to her perform several of the books in this series.

Another good listen from DK Hood. The narrator is good although sometimes her voice sounds strained or an odd cadence is heard. This story is about a pedophile ring, but doesn't go into too much description of the acts. (Thank you DK Hood, no one really needs that) I will say that the story line kind of stretched into unbelievable as I don't think that 6 or more girls missing in surrounding counties would be overlooked for so long, (Note to self: may need to look at a map to see how big counties are in Montana, they are probably considerably larger than smaller states) I will advance to the next book in the series!

Kane and Alton ride again

It was a good book. This is my 3rd DK Good book and it seems like these books are dark. In all the books I have been able to figure out who the killer is right away and don't know if that's just me or I know the pattern to these books. I do enjoy the characters and how much they are growing.

Better
