#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • From the author of the multimillion-copy bestselling A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series comes a new blockbuster thriller about a road trip that turns deadly.

Eight hours. Six friends. Five survive.

Red Kenny is on a road trip for spring break with five friends: Her best friend - the older brother - his perfect girlfriend - a secret crush - a classmate - and a killer.

When their RV breaks down in the middle of nowhere with no cell service, they soon realize this is no accident. They have been trapped by someone out there in the dark, someone who clearly wants one of them dead.

With eight hours until dawn, the six friends must escape, or figure out which of them is the target. But is there a liar among them? Buried secrets will be forced to light and tensions inside the RV will reach deadly levels. Not all of them will survive the night. . . .

With edge-of-your-seat tension and a gripping mystery, Holly Jackson has written another instant classic!

Ok

I was bored through most of it and wanted to vote Oliver off the island but the ending was amazing.

Suspenseful plot, frustrating performance

The plot was quick moving and well done, but the narrator was increasingly annoying it made the book hard for me to finish. Such a thick Pittsburgh accent for all the characters. It made it hard to focus on anything else. I’d read it instead of listening.

The WHOLE THING!!!!!

This book was sooooo good. I loved the suspense, the fast pace, the plot twists. I love Holly Jackson’s style of writing and cleverness. The end of this book had me on the edge of my seat and the letter from Arthur was so sweet. 👍

Character Development

All of the detail was a lot and it was kind of slowing down the story.

Not my favorite but…

Not my favorite, the ending of this story could’ve been way better and at times the story seemed to drag. It was a pretty good read though, had it’s good moments here and there. I hated Oliver. Couldn’t stand him! I found it so unrealistic how everyone in the RV was so afraid of him and weren’t able to beat his ass or something! I think if they had all worked together, they could’ve taken Oliver! “Natural born leader” my ass! It was insane how much they let him get away with!

Like The Author? Worth The Read!

I enjoyed the book. It is slow until about halfway. And I wish the other characters played more of a part rather than feeling like they were mostly in the background. The whole book only takes place in one night, but it's still eventful. Overall, I enjoy the authors work and look forward to keep reading more from her.

Intriguing

The narration was good I wish there was a bit more variety in term of voices. I really liked the plot and the twists I think the book was intriguing and gripping. I will say I was getting annoyed because of how Red acted when telling “secrets”, by the end I was just like “ what else did she not say” other than those 2 points I think this book was my cup of tea
