About this listen
For as long as she can remember, Kylie Briscoe's been searching for the moon even though she has no idea why it soothes her. Placed in an impossible situation by her mother, Kylie cries for help. It brings rescuers and a new life, but it feels more like a death sentence when she is separated from her three-year-old sister Aliza, the only person Kylie's ever really loved.
Now she's in tiny Patience, Texas, with her eccentric potty-mouthed grandmother, ever-patient stargazing grandfather, an uncle who reminds her a lot of a cop who terrified her during a drug bust, a herd of Norwegian Dwarf goats, their "guard donkeys," and three canine roommates occupying Kylie's former nursery.
When the authorities make a mistake that could cost her everything, Kylie must decide whether to tell the truth-all of it-in order to save herself and her sister.

Find the Moon
This is a very emotional story that pulls at your heartstrings and twists them up. The note at the end will hopefully get people the help they need.
The narration was good.

Powerful Story of Survival
Find the Moon is a very well written, powerful story of survival and resilience. The story touches on subjects that are hard to listen to but absolutely should not stay in the dark. The author is phenomenal at pulling at your heartstrings and bringing the fictional story to the forefront and into the light. This might be a work of fiction, but it is so believable that it could be taken straight from the front page of any paper. The story contains themes such as drama, suspense, neglect, abuse, kidnapping, and family dynamics. I will say this for sure this book is a MUST READ or LISTEN because it may help you or someone you know. Jocelyn Duford, as the narrator, really brought her A game on this book. I could feel the powerful emotions spilling out through her words. She is truly phenomenal and gifted, bringing forth emotions I have long since buried. I received this book for free upon my request. I am so glad I did, as you can tell. I can't say enough good things about this story. I am leaving this honest and unbiased review here of my own free will.

A Warm and Gentle Hug
Beth Felhbaum’s Find the Moon is a warm and gentle hug to survivors of sexual trauma. Beth is an amazing author and person! This story breaks your heart and heals it all at the same time. I highly recommend that you read Find the Moon, The Patience Trilogy, and Trauma Recovery - Sessions With Dr. Matt: Narratives of Hope and Resilience for Victims with PTSD.

Well done
I really liked the main character. She's been through a lot in her short life. Her mother's problemed and she's sent to live with her grandparents, given a second chance. The writing is good and immediately had me interested. The narration is good. She was overzealous with the small children but otherwise very good.

Felt this deep in my heart
Ngl, it took a little getting past the narrator’s voice, but after that, my mind just concentrated on the story, and I felt transported straight into Kylee’s world. As a sexual assault survivor myself, I could relate to all her feelings of shame, disgust, regret, etc. The way she took care of her baby sister was heartbreakingly beautiful. All in all, a great story of survival, overcoming obstacles, and breaking through barriers to see the light (moon) on the other side. I highly recommend this book to anyone struggling with their past.
