LOOK OUT! It’s only Films To Be Buried With!

Join your host Brett Goldstein as he talks life, death, love and the universe with the awesome comic, writer and podcaster EMILY HELLER!

Emily's a pro at the podcast game so you know you're in the safest of hands with this episode, as she and Brett catch up on all things micro to macro, minor to major and minimal to maximal. Always fun though, as they encounter the power lines of being on stage at a variety of events, adult situations backgrounded by cartoons, writing room process, the Indian diaspora, transgressive comedies and the degradation of time, relationships, and an entire bunch in between. Oure enjoyment of the highest order, you'll love it!

LOOK OUT! It’s only Films To Be Buried With!

Join your host Brett Goldstein as he talks life, death, love and the universe with the very hilarious and truly engaging comic and actor PHIL WANG!

An absolute delight of a chatty catchup here with Brett and Phil, which - at time of publishing - comes in very hot on the heels of Phil's Netflix special 'Wang In There, Baby'. Phil is a super friendly and warm presence and it's really nice to hear the cinematic behind the scenes of his life, including his time on the latest Wonka movie, revengey vs forgivey, Batman theories, horror hate, big scary Malaysian houses, the many shades of the Cockney geezer accent guvnor, being an engineer, nepo superstars and kung fu parents (there's your Netflix cartoon right there). Awesome from start to end. You shall enjoy. Peep the special too eh!

(quick note - if you haven't seen All Of Us Strangers and intend to, careful when it comes up - potential spoilers lie within - you're looking at around the 29:30 mark for around 90 seconds)

LOOK OUT! It’s only Films To Be Buried With!

Join your host Brett Goldstein as he talks life, death, love and the universe with the excellent actor who - for those less familiar - played Pacey in Dawson's Creek, it's JOSHUA JACKSON!

Of course, it would be unfair to limit his notoreity to a single character in one show, but for many of us it was a massive TV event in a time when the media landscape and viewing habits were simply very different to what they are now, so pretty much we all saw it! If your knowledge of him were to end there, well, you'll be happy to know he's been entirely busy since and remains a pure ray of light. This episode rules, and Joshua shows up wonderfully. It handles the funny, the serious, and the existential, all with grace and energy, and will leave you wanting to repeat the whole thing when you get to the end. Topics in the hopper include timeframes as a younger person, positive homesickness, Vancouver, the tough and weird experience of being so famous so young, love of the longform series, having kids and five year plans? Nahhh... Awesome stuff. You shall enjoy. I don't wanna wait EITHER!

Interesting people discussing interesting movies!

I've been enjoying Brett Goldstein's performance in Ted Lasso and was intrigued by his podcast.

An extra thrill was hearing that Edgar Wright liked The Ruins, a horror movie I worked on!

The movie that made me sob cry...

The Fall (2006). The scene with the pills and later with the monkey. Full on ugly, cathartic, sobbing, hyperventilating tears. I had never even heard the name Lee Pace, and now every time I see him play an elf king or a blue Ronan, I feel like he's being wasted. (And this coming from someone who loves elf kings and the MCU.)

Love this podcast. It's delightful in all the ways the Office is not.
