LOOK OUT! It’s only Films To Be Buried With!

Join your host Brett Goldstein as he talks life, death, love and the universe with comic genius and improv superstar LISA GILROY!

Well YOU try summing up what Lisa does in a few words then...! Lisa's a true joy and this is one of those awesome chemistry episodes where it all clicks lovely. Lisa's a very hilarious comic who does a ton of hugely popular sketches and bits, and works a bunch in the improv universe - it also doesn't hurt that she's awesome at parties (as we find out) and has great taste in movies. So expect to hear goodies including chill ghosts and hype poltergeists, no boxing day films, the joy of horror recaps and loads on the ace projects coming up too. Such a fun one. ENJOY!!

    Nov 13 2024

LOOK OUT! It’s only Films To Be Buried With!

Join your host Brett Goldstein as he talks life, death, love and the universe AGAIN (only this time under much more intense existential circumstances) with the fabulous comic RHYS JAMES! JUDGEMENT DAY!

The future of young Rhys hangs in the balance, upon scales held by Brett, in this heavyweight episode and return of Rhys! Thankfully of course it's a joyful and fun one (naturally) and a pleasure to have him back in full force on here - as always, much ground is covered, among which you can expect to hear about his new special and the arduous sales tactics constructed for it, doing a show with naughty kids, soft cheese spreads, cool uncle presents, awful cinema etiquette, big guy hugs, spider wrestling and being a sensitive poem boy. A LOT GOING ON. By the end of it, we also find out Rhys' destiny in the heavens / hells. ENJOY!

LOOK OUT! It’s only Films To Be Buried With!

Join your host Brett Goldstein as he talks life, death, love and the universe with the host of Turner Classic Movies and all round movie head BEN MANKIEWICZ!

TCM is a channel that some non-US folk might not be familiar with, but for those who are it's an institution. Ben is a long term host at the channel, but has a huge amount of dealings elsewhere in the cinematic universe too. If that hasn't hooked you in, you might be keen to learn he is the grandson of the screenwriter of Citizen Kane who was the subject of the fairly recent movie 'Mank'. So you're in safe hands right here, essentially. Ben has a ton to say about a lot of movies that haven't been explored that much on the podcast, but it's also really interesting to hear about TCM and how it's affected his own life. A really fascinating guest for a truly engaging episode - enjoy!

Interesting people discussing interesting movies!

I've been enjoying Brett Goldstein's performance in Ted Lasso and was intrigued by his podcast.

An extra thrill was hearing that Edgar Wright liked The Ruins, a horror movie I worked on!

Brilliant podcast with a lovely host

I love this podcast. Brett Goldstein is funny and kind and sooooooo interesting. plus he's Roy Kent! I discovered films that I've never heard of and rediscovered films I had forgotten about. Take a listen. You won't regret it.

The movie that made me sob cry...

The Fall (2006). The scene with the pills and later with the monkey. Full on ugly, cathartic, sobbing, hyperventilating tears. I had never even heard the name Lee Pace, and now every time I see him play an elf king or a blue Ronan, I feel like he's being wasted. (And this coming from someone who loves elf kings and the MCU.)

Love this podcast. It's delightful in all the ways the Office is not.
