About this listen

Remembering her will either be his salvation…or his downfall….

Rex You don’t have to remember the past to be haunted by it.

I’m proof of that.

I don’t remember the demons of my childhood, but I know they’re there. Why else would I need pain to feel anything? A punch to the jaw, the sting of a tattoo needle, the heat from a piercing…only pain can jolt me back from the numbness.

Until I found her….

Mac

I’ve stalked him for years. Waited for the right time to make amends.

We shared horrors most people couldn’t fathom. I’ve lived his pain every day.

And he doesn’t remember me at all.

I wish I could forget, too. Our past, the ways he’s changed, how he makes me feel…all of it.

But I can’t….

He’s spent a lifetime fighting to forget. Now he’ll have to decide if remembering the past—and taking a shot at happily ever after with Mac—is worth the potentially devastating cost. Fighting to Forget, book 3 in the Fighting series, is an emotional, angsty, contemporary, steamy, sports/MMA romance with a guaranteed HEA. Download today and get ready to fall for Rex and Mac.

3rd one best so far

I enjoyed this book better than the last too... less “clueless “ characters... like the way each book ties into the others in a small way

story plot was dragged.. tried to create suspense but not very successful... unnecessarily... earlier books were much better..

Real Issues

Loved this one just like the ones before. This author really hits some hard issues and shows they can over come every thing that comes at them. I loved how the heroine delt with the drug issue's makes the characters seem so real.

Gritty....not for the faint of heart

Where does Fighting to Forget rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I like the series but I have to say this is one of the most difficult books to listen to. Even though its a good book the topic of child molestation is a difficult one for me to wrap my mind around.

If you’ve listened to books by JB Salsbury before, how does this one compare?

This is the third book in the series and by far the most gritty and hard to get through. The topic of child molestation is never easy to hear about ... and its a theme that is at the forefront even to the end of this book.

Have you listened to any of Erin Mallon and Ryan West ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

They were awesome performers. They made the book easier to listen to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The prologue. Without giving away a spoiler .... it was very moving the bond the two main characters formed.

Any additional comments?

If you have read the first two books in the series, this one is tied in with the main characters from those books. It is a stand alone so its not necessary to have read them but I recommend those books highly. This is not my favorite book in the series and I most likely would not have finished it had it not been for the first two books. This is book does have a light at the end of the tunnel but its an emotional journey getting there. The subject matter and abuse they characters suffered is why I did not give the story itself a higher rating. If you don't mind gritty, child abuse, flawed characters in the aftermath ... you would enjoy this book. It is worth a credit.

Blake and Layla's live journey.

Blake and Layla’s love journey
this was a good love story however it was a better story based in truth regarding date rape and marriage rape. No means NO! whether you’re married or dating! Layla finds her self alone and pregnant at 16. Stage one night of teenage rebellion. fast forward 16 years later she’s in a loveless marriage to a tyrant. she finally gets the courage to leave her the marriage. Layla finds a job to support herself and her daughter. However it's working in the back-office of theUFC. it’s the year that she meets the very attractive Blake. Solid 4 Stars!

Dear JB Every time I listen. to this story.

I always think I will have to skip the bad/sad parts. I am always wrong. the story pulls me in and I have to listen to it in its entirety . That's the true sign of a storyteller.
Thanks again and again for the story. Now please may we have more on Audible. Although any new, story in any form is a gift. Just don't stop writing.

Hard to hear

This book touched on some very hard topics. Most of us would not know these situations but they do exist. I think because they were children it made it more difficult to listen to. However this was another awesome book that would make a good movie as well.

Loved Narration

Loved these narrators. Ryan West really nails the sexy, gritty, and tortured vibe of Rex. This book covers some very dark subject matter but the author shapes it to deepen the characters and make they sexual connection even hotter. Loved these sex scenes.
