Maybe I'm just a Highly Sensitive Person?

My favorite excerpts,
"Anyone with any condition is just as awesome as anybody else."

Some simple steps to mindfulness,

"Stop. breathe. become aware. notice.

Breathe in slowly as deeply as you can, and hold it in for a few minutes. Now slowly exhale."

I was driving when I was listening, so I couldn't get mindful at the time of my listening to this, but if you're a debilitatingly highly sensitive person or HSP as she calls us, and you can hold your breath in for a few minutes! This may provide some relief for you.

The narration was excellent as a short fun little book.

Good to know!

Any additional comments?

My daughter would be considered highly sensitive and I wish I had read this book 30 years ago! Very short, easy to listen and learn. I would absolutely recommend this book.

She has a sweet voice, sounds understanding, and seems to be engaged.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. It's only 12 minutes.

Any additional comments?

It's Okay To Be Sensitive

As an adult I enjoyed listening to Feeling Sensitive! I guess I'm a sensitive adult and perhaps was even as a kid. This audiobook had some great points and explains that it is okay to be sensitive. Many children are and just need validation.

I was unclear as to whether or not this book was for children or adults with sensitive children. The age group is listed at 5-7 but that's preschool age and there are a lot of big words in this book along with a disclaimer that I'm not sure preschoolers would understand. Parents be prepared to listen with your children.

I thought Elizabeth Bloom had a wonderful voice that children would enjoy listening to. She had great voice inflections and sounded like a natural storyteller.
