About this listen

In the years following the senseless and tragic shooting on the campus of New Life Church in Northern Colorado Springs, Colorado, senior pastor Brady Boyd has received countless questions from the faith-filled and faithless alike. As the nation watched the suffering congregation reel from the gunman's rampage and, later, steady their stance once more, the one question on everyone's mind was, "How has new life weathered such a horrible storm so well"?

In Fear No Evil, Boyd answers with eloquence and grace, paving a path toward hope for anyone who is walking through the "valley of the shadow of death" and is tempted to camp out there. This story of tragedy and triumph will release you from life's common traps of doubt and despair.

Whether you are a parent who has lost a child, a single mom who feels overwhelmed, a middle-aged man starting over after bankruptcy, a student trying to make sense of life and the world at large, or simply someone who wonders where God is in the midst of your suffering, the considerations and counsel offered here will serve as a lifeline for your soul.

Outstanding book!

Would you consider the audio edition of Fear No Evil to be better than the print version?

Yes

Who was your favorite character and why?

Brady

What about Brady Boyd’s performance did you like?

His personal account of this story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Any additional comments?

Brady Boyd is anointed because he listened to God's Call on his life even when he didn't understand why, but his discernment afterwards gave proof to God's plan. I love to hear Pastor Brady preach online and at his visits to Gateway Church in Southlake, TX.

Chaos to calm

If you could sum up Fear No Evil in three words, what would they be?

Pain, challenges, growth

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fear No Evil?

The fear for loved ones, the compassion, love& support for each member of the congregation and the wider community

How could the performance have been better?

This needed to be read by someone who could feel the pain, not be controlled throughout. His story was so compelling, but he didn't seem able to show those feelings in the vocal..

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Due to the controlled nature of the telling the places which should have moved me to tears left the grief internalised, it also dampened the joy od conquest.

Any additional comments?

please get another who can be free to vocalise the emotions to redo this as it would make good brilliant
